His attentive listening was immediately clear when we recently began care with him for our college aged son. We have always been extremely pleased with the healthcare provided through the Iowa Clinic, and Dr. Sutton is another excellent example of the high quality of care they offer. If you are looking for a new primary care physician within their system, Dr. Sutton would be an outstanding choice for the betterment of your health and well-being.

Dr. Sutton is amazing. As an African American, I’ve become accustomed to not being heard or taken serious in healthcare. However, i came to Dr. Sutton not knowing what my son and I needed but he listened to my concerns and ordered labs, X-rays, and more. None of what he did was what I asked for (because you don’t know what you don’t know) but everything he did was needed! I felt so seen and heard. I’m so happy I’ve found my son and I a new PCP home! Not to mention the front desk staff and nurses are amazing! Always polite and helpful. When sending a message through the Follow My Health portal they reply almost immediately! My experience has been surprising in the best way possible. Thank you guys for everything!

Twice now I’ve been sent home in agony for a lower back issue. I understand about the opioid epidemic, but not everyone is drug seeking and it’s an insult to be treated as such. I believe he prescribed me an anti-inflammatory and a muscle relaxer. One of them I was informed would have a terrible reaction with my lithium, so my pharmacy sent in a request for an alternative and never heard anything back back. Shouldn’t he have been aware of this considering he knows the medication’s I take. What harm would’ve that have done to me if no one caught it? Now it’s Friday and I have to suffer for the entire weekend. No compassion, I will not be back.

I absolutely adore Dr. April Kolb and her nurse, Jamie, at the Iowa Clinic on Alice's Road. I am greeted by the biggest smile and greatest enthusiasm to see me by Jamie every time I come in for an appointment. She is truly a ray of light. She was also a tremendous help in securing a medication that was difficult to get approved by insurance. Dr. Kolb is so friendly, down to earth, thorough, she takes her time with you and answers any questions you have - I never feel rushed. If you're looking for a family doctor, I highly recommend this duo!
