The Merry Piglets Mexican Grill

Rooms are way outdated and mattresses are terrible. My biggest problem is with the owner. I booked a pet room online for a specific rate that included the pet fee. When I checked in, they tried to charge me for another “premium” room with a $50 pet fee that wasn’t disclosed at time of booking. Apparently owner closed all the pet rooms and decided to change the reservation upon arrival. The front desk young lady and her manager were amazing and worked with me on getting the rate close to what I was expecting. The owner doesn’t appear to care and this is an unscrupulous business practice. It’s shameful that the owner put his/her employees and customers in this position. Rooms were clean - just circa 1979. I won’t stay here again.

I was passing through and was getting hungry. I have seen a few signs before taking the exit. The thing that caught my eye was the 79-cent ice cone. I decided to order grilled cheese with ham and a western burger. For the price the food was good. The staff was patient and friendly. He also gave good recommendations and explained what was in each meal. The downside was the upgrade for a combo meal ($4.95). I waited about 10 minutes f9r my order. While I waited, I had a chance to check out the gift store! The store's clothing was expensive for my taste (59.99 for a sweatshirt and 19.99 to 29.99 for t-shirts). Once I got my food, it was great (see photos). The burgers actually tasted homemade (meat handmade), and the fries were flavored!! Overall, I would go back there when passing through!

Perfect spot to pull off the freeway driving from Twin Falls Idaho to Denver in mid- November. Dog friendly and lots of green space for her play frisbee. Restaurant was not very good with food or service. Wouldn’t eat there again. But hotel staff very nice and room was plenty good enough for what we needed for one night. Clean. Bed comfy.
