Lovely pub on the edge of the South Downs with a warm, welcoming feel. The menu has plenty of choice and everything we tried was tasty. Good selection of ales, all well kept. It’s a cracking place to hole up in winter, cosy atmosphere and friendly staff who actually seem happy to be there. The mulled cider is worth the trip on its own, proper festive comfort in a glass.

I had summer drinks here but had never Eaten here,I took family and friends here for food ,and it didn’t fail to disappoint,Staff where friendly and helpful and the food was beautiful,I’ll definitely be back for my b’day ,And one of my go to places to eat now, Prices are on the high side ,But you get what you pay for in my book.! For something different I highly recommend 👍👍👍

You couldn't ask for a lovier location and set up. Right from the minute you walk in, you're greeted and seated. However, we had reserved a table, but it wasn't to our liking, so we asked for another type of table, and it was busy, and they did everything to accommodate us and we had some drinks in a different part and waited for a free table and the staff and owners were simply amazing. The menu was incredible with its offerings and lovely wine and drinks list. One waiter knew every wine and was very helpful. The other staff were so attentive and kind we felt so looked after. The food was out of this world. The way it's served like tapas so you can pick and mix and share is fantastic. The portion sizes were perfect, and the produce was so fresh and tasty it was a joy to eat there. Dog friendly and great for large or small groups and great for celebrations.We are definitely going back there. Unfortunately, I wasn't feeling great and had to leave sooner than we wanted to, but it didn't spoil the overall experience for us. It's definitely worth a visit. The best pub (somewhat more like restaurant with gardens) we’ve been to in a good while. Such a nice garden with loads of quality seating with shade and nice views. They’ve spent a lot of time, money and effort on making the whole place wonderful. Great feature is the massive well inside - ask for ice to drop down it! Tasty food
