Lovely place for a roast. Decent portions and great service. It’s quite relaxing there. Parking can be on the road as carpark usually full but it’s quite rural so no issue just be aware. Should be 4.5 but can’t do that on here. Nice staff and front of house and the cote de Provence is fairly decent as they can vary both in taste and price elsewhere. Lovely desert. Would like my broccoli a tiny bit less crunchy but still ate it, just a preference but nothing major. Lovely location and good ale too.

The location and pub services were perfect for our short break providing relaxation and plenty to explore in the local area. Being able to take our dog was essential for us - we stayed in The Old Bakery one bed cottage. The welcome pack provided everything needed including some lovely fresh bread. The Old Bakery cottage was super clean and cosy with easy parking. We enjoyed a fantastic meal in the pub and, if required, breakfast is available in the pub, although we chose not to. Everything from booking, getting there, and equipment in the cottage made our stay seamless.

Had a fabulous experience. Nice warm welcome from the staff. A nice quiet table as requested, unfortunately we had to move due to family with noisy children. We were moved into their new dining room which was really lovely and quiet. The food was excellent. Huge prawn cocktail, delicious. Sunday, so a fabulous roast beef dinner with all the trimmings, and a large jug of gravy. The service from the staff was exceptional. We shall be returning.

We visited just now for a Sunday meal after spending the weekend at Blackwood Forest holidays. The decor is lovely, the server was incredibly polite, Friendly and welcoming. The bar tender was very generous and hospitable. The food was excellent. The portions were generous we will definitely revisit when we are in the area again.
