The place was relatively clean. The bed was comfortable. The mini fridge and microwave both worked well. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was not working nor was there a cover over the fan on the ceiling. The heat lamp in the bathroom was not working. The shower installation could have been cleaner or they could possibly upgraded the caulking. But this is a low budget motel. So what do you expect?
The room was clean, with good air conditioning. It's a place to lay your head when you're on the road. A good, affordable, clean, and reliable place is something important when you need it. It was all good, for the price point. If you want the Hilton, then go spend 400 bucks. But don't complain when your much more affordable room doesn't compare. It is what it is.
The room was nice and a very good size, but I would never come here again in the summer. To start, I'll say that I loved the size of the bathroom and the room came with a Keurig, microwave, and mini-fridge. It was a 2 double-bed room, as I was traveling with my husband and two younger siblings. We all enjoyed our stay, and the beds were more comfortable than the average motel offers. The front desk also gave us extra towels without complaint, which is great as my husband is a big dude and needed more than one towel to dry off. Very nice of them. So, the only thing I didn't like was the in-room A/C unit. It has an auto-sensor that just didn't seem to work right, so it would "sense" that the room had reached the right temperature and would turn off, even though the room was still warm. It also would blow humid air out, so the room felt unbearably damp for me after everyone took their nightly shower. Now, for other people this might just be a little uncomfortable, but I have a disability that does not allow my body to regulate its own temperature well. For this reason, the climate control working well in rooms is very important. Other than that, it's a quiet area, with a Tim Hortons not too far, and I like that you can just park right in front of the room. The area felt safe, and I definitely saw amenities for families to eat outside with their kids when the weather was nice.
