I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of compassion and flexibility shown by Thrive Therapy in Fort Myers. I had to cancel my son’s session last minute due to a medical emergency — I came home to find him crying on the floor in pain. I called the office immediately, and the woman I spoke with could clearly hear him in distress. She even acknowledged that, given the circumstances, she didn’t believe we would be charged the late cancellation fee. Despite that, I received an email stating they would be charging the full session cost. Emergencies happen, especially with children, and I expected more empathy from a pediatric mental health provider. Instead, I was met with rigid policy enforcement and a complete disregard for the situation. If you’re looking for a therapist who is understanding during emergencies and puts your child’s well-being first, I would consider looking elsewhere.

I started therapy at Thrive Therapy to address my anxiety, hoping for support and consistency in my treatment. Unfortunately, my experience has been anything but that. Just a week into starting, my therapist informed me they were leaving the practice. Thrive immediately stated they would transfer me to someone else, but it felt rushed and impersonal, as though I was just another number in their system. To make matters worse, they were unwilling to accommodate my schedule. With everything I already deal with, I hoped for flexibility to make therapy fit into my life, but Thrive didn’t seem interested in making that happen. Instead, it felt like they cared more about billing me than about genuinely helping me through my struggles. I wouldn’t recommend Thrive Therapy if you’re looking for a practice that values continuity of care and works to meet your individual needs.

I brought my oldest child for therapy a few years back and recently had the need to bring my younger one as well. I came back here because I know how my son's behavior improved tremendously in a very short period of time. My daughter has been attending session here and is making rapid progress as well. I like that the therapists at Thrive seem to truly care for their clients, that they keep me in the loop about what's going on and are respectful of my time. Thank you Thrive Therapy!

I have had the pleasure of bringing several of my children with varying needs to Thrive Therapy over the years. I'm always impressed how their therapists are able to take what seem to take some of the most pesky behaviors or lingering emotional issues and clients hope again. I've seen them do it time and time again with both myself and my kids and with others that I've referred to them. Their therapists and staff are all very compassionate and competent. They are all true professionals in every since of the word. Thanks Thrive Therapy for the wonderful work you've done for my family and the good that you're doing for our community's mental health needs!
