Customer experiences
My friends and I recently visited The Fat Duck and we had a good time. We enjoyed thier Korean chicken wings, but I felt thier pricing was a bit on the higher end for pub food. I ordered thier steak and mushroom pie and all the pictures looked amazing, however the steak wasn’t seasoned at all. It was tender but it lacked flavour. The sauce helped a bit, but each time I went for the steak I needed something to season it. Many of us felt a bit disappointed from our experience. I’m hoping to give it another shot, but it won’t be for a long time.
We stopped in here for a pint and a bite to eat, so glad we did. The staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming. We sat on the patio and always felt we were well taken care of. They have a decent selection of beers on tap at great prices. They menu all sounded delicious and there specials sounded even better! We loved all the food and our time here. A great spot to check out if your in the area.
The steak and mushroom pie was amazing, crispy, tender steak, delicious gravy. I would definitely order again.
Came here for lunch. The service was very attentive at the beginning, but quickly faded as they were getting busy at the bar and the dining room was forgotten. The food was a miss. Soup is the day was kale and potato. It looked and tasted like a vegetable soup with chopped up sausages. The burger was the best part of the meal seasoned and cooked well. Would m would've enjoyed it more on a brioche bun or a little toast to it. The fish was ok and the chips were not very good. They were a mixture of thin cut fries work potato wedges and not very crispy. The gravy was au jus and didn't stick to the fries and lacked flavor. The coleslaw had a strange taste too it and the tartar sauce tasted old. At $23 i would be expecting at least 2 pieces of fish and better quality chips. Nice daily beer specials, probably a good place to watch some games (althoughthe big TV on the dining room wall was inoperable. Based on my experience today, I would skip if you are looking for a decent meal.
Two Faces is a wine bar.
