Best and most caring staff I’ve ever had at a hospital ever. Stayed for a 4 day EMU. Special shout out to: - lily (nurse) Took such good care of me on my first night and made sure I understood everything. Never made me feel bad for pressing the call button. - Diego (TECH) Recommended a great show, consistently walking me through the process, really kind - Carolina (Nurse) always made sure I was comfortable, extremely personable and professional - Gemma (Nurse) Sweetest soul to be on this planet. Kept me calm after episodes and was very gentle. Extremely knowledgeable. - Paul (Nurse) Literally my carbon copy, amazing bedside manners, incredibly thorough. Always wrote things on the board, checked in on me without me calling. Overall, as a transgender male I have never experienced such kindness from a hospital staff before. Praying for the whole staff to make a reasonable and respectable wage in the future. Extremely underpaid, but never made me feel like a burden. Sending love to you all <3

Christina CLAY RN Mauricio Pineda, RN Agata T, RN This the greatest team in the entire hospital. They were so attentive, knowledgeable and busy but very detailed about wanting to give the patients the best care.. All 3 employees went over and beyond to help me get my health in shape and I thank God for them. They love there job and they do it with smiles. If I could give an extra star on my review I would. Thank you.

UI Health has been nothing short of a lifesaver for me, time and time again. The care, compassion, and dedication of the doctors, nurses, and entire staff are truly unmatched. From the medical expertise to the overall comfort of the environment, every aspect of my experience has been exceptional. As someone with complex and challenging health issues, I have often felt like there was no hope—but these professionals never gave up on me. They fought for me in ways I could never have imagined. The doctors at UI Health are not only highly skilled but also deeply compassionate, making sure patients feel supported every step of the way. Even during moments of discomfort, they remain attentive and truly present. A special tribute goes to the incredible transplant coordinator, Anita Pakrasi. She has been an absolute beacon of guidance and support, leading both me and my mother—who selflessly donated her kidney—through the entire transplant process. With unwavering dedication, she has been there at every turn, answering questions at any hour and ensuring that we always felt confident and informed. Anita’s commitment to her patients goes beyond duty; it is an act of pure kindness and devotion, leading people toward the best possible outcomes. UI Health is a place where excellence meets compassion, and I will forever be grateful for the extraordinary care I have received.

The experience at the Emergency Room, following a deep laceration to my left hand, has been exceedingly unsatisfactory. The wait time has been excessively long, and the level of care has been disappointing. Despite the severity of the injury, my hand has yet to receive medical attention. I have observed other patients being attended to, while I, along with others, have waited for an extended period—currently 13 hours—without receiving care. The inability to leave due to the injury further exacerbates the situation. While I understand the ER may be busy, the lack of professional service is concerning. As a healthcare professional with experience in three hospitals, I have never witnessed such unprofessional and unacceptable service. Furthermore, my private health insurance is being utilized.
