Pretty good experience. Great hospital and nurse staff are good. Not so hands on but very sweet. The hospital is updated and clean. The complementary massage was amazing. I would recommend for the comfort and the nice rooms. Labor was long but had great nurses to help make me comfortable. Food was pretty good. I would deliver there again so I recommend this hospital.

My grandson was recently born at Hinsdale Hospital and also spent some time in the NICU. The hospital is very modern on the inside. The Mother/baby room was very large and included seating which turned into a bed so the other parent could sleep lying down and not in a recliner. The NICU also had seats that converted to a bed for one person plus a recliner. The staff was great and very supportive towards the new parents. They all took the time to answer questions and were friendly and upbeat. It really helped as this was their first child. During the baby's stay, the NICU opened up a new parent lounge with a fridge to keep food and microwave to warm it up. There are also bathrooms with showers. The babies all have their own rooms in the NICU. Times have changed, We got one single photo of our baby from the hospital and not the greatest photo. Here, a professional photographer took many photos of the baby and had options in color or black and white. There are some food options on the basement level but it is not extensive. The coffee and gift shop are only open until 2:00pm. I was very happy with the care that my grandson and his parents received.

The first two pictures are of someone bragging how good he was at putting in IV. His name is Aaron. He was in the ER. The other picture is a nurse that when I would ask him, and any other nurse that would come by, to check the IV they all blew me off by putting a piece of tape on it. They all said the same thing…there ya go. All good. Kept complaining of pain (meniscus). I finally, after at least FIVE times I firmly told him to STOP!!! Please look at this now. The medicine has not been going in. It was running down my arm. I looked at him and said now we know why I have been in chronic pain amplifying!! *** For all concerned, I am sorry that it went on google. I thought the review stayed with the hospital. I did not realize it was going on google. As far as the review, I gave an honest review. Maybe the number could be higher…….I'm sure there are some people that had a good experience and that’s great! Unfortunately, I am not one of them. When you’re there for pain and they refuse to check the IV that putting pain medication in when you keep asking for help and being blown off so many times. No!! Not a good experience. PS. The elbow IV. All docs and nurses stated What on earth is that from. They never should have put it there. Completely wrong spot!
