Looking for a storage solution that makes it easy for would-be thieves to hop the fence and have your unit broken into? Well look no further than Uhaul Moving and Storage in Provo! My storage unit was broken into on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025. I got a call from the kid working there: "are you aware that your storage unit is wide open right now?" No, I was not aware. And I live out of state, so dealing with the situation in a timely manner would be difficult. "Oh, well we had a report of a break-in from a neighboring unit; that may be what happened to yours." My parents live nearby and arrived shortly thereafter, finding my stuff strewn about the hallway outside the unit. Going back to the kid's question on the phone: why on earth would I have left my things in such disarray? Apparently the facility manager was camping in the mountains over the weekend and was the only one with access to the surveillance footage. She was unreachable until Monday. Cut to Monday: no phone call, no email, nothing. I flew in from New York and found that the thieves cut the flimsy metal sled that the lock slides through (much easier and quicker than cutting the actual lock). I packed up my car and cancelled my account immediately. Granted, the break-in was likely not their fault, but any kind of human courtesy (such as a call from the manager, or forwarding my information to the local police) would've gone a long way. Go look around the front gate - observe how easy it would be for someone to hop onto the dumpster and then over the fence. If you care about your things at all, go somewhere else. This place offers no peace of mind, only mismanaged facilities and poorly-trained staff. Thank you, Uhaul Moving and Storage of Provo, for the life lesson.

I loved that I was able to get the key without having to wait in the long line. The truck drop off was also really awesome and easy through the app. I also received a call about some things that were left in the back of the truck (not by me), but they wanted to make sure I didn't want them before they threw them away. I thought this was very considerate.

My first and last experience with U-Haul. The lady with blonde hair (owner) was kinda rude and wouldn’t accept my ID. Ending up paying for everything and going out to load up and they said the clearance was too low. So I adjusted the hitch and then they said I can’t take it because of a weight rating. Horrible first experience with them. Just go on marketplace to save you the hassle if you need a trailer.
