It definitely was a wait to get seen but they kept me there until I got completely checked out. The nurses were very helpful, nice and friendly even though they had their hands full with an overwhelming amount of patients. I spent the night in a room with a comfortable bed and private bathroom which was great considering others had to sleep in the hall. The meals were good but overall it was a great turnout because after my results came back and I was released with an appointment to return for my procedure.

Terrible "emergency room". I have been waiting 2 hours for the nurse to find out if I can go to the back with one of my children who was admitted. Feeling saden looking at all the patients needing care in the waiting room, with no movement of patients being called to a room the 2 hours I was in the waitingroom. I would recommend going somewhere else.

Where do I start.. Thinking I was having a heart attack i had my stepson drive me to the ER from north liberty. Came in with sudden weakness in my legs/arms, uncontrollable shaking, heat radiating on my left side, heart rate way up. They always tell young men to don’t take any chances and to be fast acting. I’m Thinking I’d get an EKG and blood test right away… oh no. Instead they put me on a Gurney in the hallway, not one person acknowledged me until I said something an hour and a half later. Employees are either rude or acting like it’s a high school reunion all smiles and joking. Unprofessional hell hole. Blood on the floor apparently couldn’t be mopped up either. I specifically wanted to go here because I knew it was world class care. I don’t understand because all my other specialists at the university are wonderful. I never leave negative reviews but I’m highly irritated and honestly scared for the general public. I went to checkout, ripped my armband off and left. I’m waiting to be picked up to go to another hospital in Cedar Rapid. Unbelievable! Reviews are legitimate! I’d rather die on the side of I-80 than go here again. ***University's higher up, please do better with this side of things.***

Probably one of the most worse places you could ever go to. My fiancé sister had a eye problem and we took her here because i was told it was one of the best ER around. We waited 4 hours just for her to finally get seen, we got done and they want to do some scans of her eye. We waited 7 more hours just for someone to finally getting back woth us that she was now really to go in. I dont like doing this at all but for how long we had to wait for and eye test was really ridiculous!
