Immediately we made to feel like bad parents for bringing our child there instead of somewhere else. We explained that we were hoping for someone to tell us whether an emergency room was warranted. The lady who spent a total of one minute with us; explained again, they do not have an xray machine, again we acknowledged and apologized, but restated our hopes for the visit(nobody waiting behind us, not close to closing time) she then stated for a third time that they can’t diagnose; again we said we just needed advice or referral; we were dismissed by this person after egregiously stating we just needed help. She walked out of the office after saying there’s a 90 % chance we will refer you elsewhere without exam. They ordered X-rays which had to be done twice on Thursday evening. After we got home from the North Liberty Hospital (I will write on them separately, minimally the night staff) we were called by the doctor with concerns for another part of the arm and asked to return the following morning for more X-rays. Returned at 9 am. Asked for updates multiple times through out the day. No response until 730 pm nearly 12 hours later by a nurse practitioner who said there’s was an o cloud fracture and dislocation… but said there’s delay was because radiology docs needed to review; which they STILL have not. But yet they encourage an emergency room visit at 730 pm Friday after that is all we were asking for at 345 on Thursday. If you want to regret caring and being concerned for your child; go to NL quick care. They have made us feel poorly on multiple occasions now. If you want your time wasted see them and follow their referral. If you want to be called at 8pm after two X-rays where no one could explain anything; urging a return visit the following day; go here and then go to the north liberty hospital; where you will receive limited attention and information even when the entire bottom floor is empty. Honestly don’t bother here. The university of Iowa should not allow them to maintain their title unless they want their billions of dollars wasted here.

I reserved a spot before I went. I had to wait about an hour, which for a Saturday I find very quick. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was pleased that I was able to be seen that quick on a weekend, and not have to go to the emergency room and wait 8 hours or more just to go back to be seen.

If I could leave a zero I would. Incredibly disappointed in the care and service this past week. Was in twice in one week with one of my children. Both times we felt like we were a bother by healthcare workers, the last time the NP spoke with a condescending tone, was passive aggressive and very dismissive. She even implied it was related to anxiety!!! There is so much wrong with this type of condescending attitude towards patients. We ended up back at DIFFERENT Urgent Care immediately the next morning (3rd x seen) and had a confirmed ear infection and was finally treated with antibiotics. I also had to request a note from Urgent Care for school for the day he missed because the NP said “he needed to go to school.” I just can’t believe a provider can get by with this, I see the reviews here and it’s sad that the families here in NL can’t get a better experience!

They did a half assed assessment of me never figuring out the problem. Told me to go to the ER if my condition persisted. This is a gross misuse of healthcare dollars. I shouldn’t need to go to the ER for NO LIFE THREATENING problems to have more tests ran. Do your job until it’s complete, stop pawning people off on someone else. Or maybe have actual doctors working?
