If you have disposable income or don’t mind spending money, you may not be overly concerned. However, for most people, these offers can be a trap. The prices for services may seem low, but they can lead to various issues with your car. For instance, if your brake pads still have 60 percent of their lifespan left, a mechanic (Formula one) tell you that only 10 percent remains. This pattern can continue, and before you know it, you could end up paying over £1,000. Be cautious; this is a significant trap. I personally experienced it when my engine light came on and ended up paying a total of £1,300. To make matters worse, the engine light came back on just half a day after I picked up my car. When I asked for an explanation, the staff responded rudely and claimed it was another issue, which turned out to be the primary problem from the beginning. As someone new to the Telford area, I found this garage very off-putting. I would advise you to "AVOID"it. The amusing part is that after your review, you got an email stating that the area manager would reach out within the next three days to address your issue. However, that's not to happen, as customer care doesn’t seem to be a priority for them.

Had a full service done here because it was the lowest price I could find. Halfway through the day of the service I received a phone call from the centre detailing very quickly approximately £1500 worth of suspension repairs which allegedly needed doing - very surprising given the car had no suspension related advisories on the MOT just 4 days prior. After saying no to the repairs, I was offered a plan to pay for the repairs instead, and felt very forced into saying yes. Instead, I stood my ground and said no, and that I'd pick up the car later that day. When I arrived to collect the car, I was very unceremoniously handed a piece of what may or may not have been broken spring, and the invoices for the service. The service hadn't been completed in full with a lot of items listed on the website left off (due to these apparent faults), and a long list of repairs. The service advisor behind the counter came across as very brash which did not inspire any confidence in me. I've since had the car checked over by a local independent garage, and have been informed (with photos) that no springs are broken, and that yes, some parts are beginning to wear however there's no play or issues to note, meaning no repairs are necessary. All in all, I'd never return, even if it was the last service garage in Telford. The low prices are alluring, but they're low for a reason. Being informed of repairs over the phone, and being asked repeatedly "can we make payment/put a payment plan in place to start repairs immediately" felt like a pressure tactic allowing no time for good consideration/other options. If you're looking for a good garage, for the love of god, avoid this one and use a trusted independent instead.

I wanted to commend the friendly staff at Formula One Autocentre Telford. I popped in at around 4:30 PM on Saturday with a concerning rattle coming from my front wheel. To my surprise, they quickly diagnosed the issue, which turned out to be a collapsed spring along with a few other problems. Early the next morning, at about 10 AM on Sunday, they gave me a call with a very reasonable quote for the repairs. To top it off, by 1 PM that same day, my car was ready for collection. I am genuinely impressed by the excellent 5-star service provided. The speed, efficiency, and friendliness of the staff made what could have been a stressful situation much more manageable. Not sure where these negative reviews are coming from. John and the lads will go out of their way to get you back on the road, even if it means they stay on past closing time. Prices are great, the standard of work is great and they never promise things they can't deliver. First class always as far as I'm concerned.
