Customer experiences
I needed to reschedule my daughter’s appointment when we got a bunch of snow. Remind you I live 4 hours away. They called to confirm my appointment two days before her appointment and my phone was shut off so I didn’t receive anything. The appointment was cancelled but I was okay with that because I needed to reschedule it anyways. Well, today, I call back and try to schedule her a new appointment and the lady tells me there’s nothing they can do even though I was referred there. My daughter is 4, the little girl shouldn’t have to bare through the pain just because we HAD NO CHOICE but to miss an appointment. I’m glad I’ve never been here. Seems to me any time anyone in that office answers the phone they seem like they hate their life. It’s truly sad.
I recently had the pleasure of receiving dental services from a student at the UIC College of Dentistry, and I was thoroughly impressed. The care and attention I received were exceptional. The student was knowledgeable, meticulous, and incredibly professional, ensuring I was comfortable throughout my appointment. It was evident that the education and training provided at UIC are top-notch, as reflected in the student’s confident and skilled approach. I left the clinic feeling very satisfied with the quality of service and would confidently recommend their services to others.
The dentists are so good but trying to get a hold of this place on the phone is nearly impossible. I have to make time to go in person to schedule appointments. Not the staff fault either, the same people assisting the crowd of patients inside are also answering the phone. Which is probably why they have attitudes to begin with, seems like a management issue? My son had an oral surgery here, the front desk was very overwhelmed but still helpful and the team was amazing. The dentist, student dentist, anesthesiologist etc... were very kind and compassionate while they were examining my child like they truly care. My child is autistic and medical appointments are hard, their patience helped ease my anxiety around the whole process. Even though the team is very skilled your child going under is still a such a scary situation. Their hard work is appreciated.
So annoyed with this place , first I waited 6 mths get an appointment. A treatment plan was made for me. I need a crown and implant 2 cavities redone and a deep cleaning. I just got done with the deep cleaning that took 2 months! I told them I will go get my cavities done at a different dentist, she gone tell me if I do then I can’t go on with the rest of my treatment plan! Like what ?! U all can’t tell me what to do with my $ or my body.Oh it gets worse the student gave me a deep cleaning on my right upper quadrant without proper numbing injections her supervisor came over to go behind her and when he got in my mouth and began going over her work I squirmed and he said wait you can feel this ?! I said yes! He proceeds to pull the student to the side and have words with her, I then gave her another chance and came back got the final cleaning but this time she stuck the needle to far by my gums and it’s been 3 was since the procedure and my mouth his still hurting I can not open wide without my jaw hurting.I will never come back to this place it’s time consuming and honestly I don’t think they know what there doing also when reviews are made and an employee gets on here and comment and says this: Queen Pharaoh, we're truly sorry to hear about your experience. Your frustration is completely understandable, and we appreciate your feedback. We strive to provide timely and effective service, and it seems we fell short this time. Please contact us directly at codpatientinput@uic.edu to look into this. it’s lye you reach out and gets no response I’ve emailed 3 times and nothing, they do this to save face. Run don’t walk away from this place all they do is bill your insurance and have u pay for unsatisfactory treatment.
