Customer experiences
Amazing group of people making a huge difference in the lives of people with visual impairment in the developing world. Love that they are bringing light to gender inequity in blindness as well as making purposeful strides to bring vision care to women and girls. Who would think that a $50 donation pays for life changing cataract surgery, giving back sight and productivity to two people, the blind person and the caretaker who is also unable to work or go to school.
I have been supporting Seva for more than 20 years. It is wonderful to support a charity with such a clear mission - to restore sight in people who are blind due to cataracts, often those who are poor and isolated. The newsletter they send out lifts the spirits as it shares the experience of people who can see again after being blind. I also love to support them because they are based in Vancouver and every year I get a personal phone call, just to say thank you. They are accessible - you can drop into the office and say hi, so it feels like supporting a local charity with a global impact.
Seva Canada Society's televised message introduced me to this organization and their goals. Living in a country that encourages eye exams, the ability to purchase glasses, access to eye surgery if required, leaves me in a position to help those who are in need of. To assist in giving the gift of sight is a contribution I value; to be part of this society is heart warming at any time of the year. Their mission is a noble one and I am grateful to share their goal!
I'm so glad I came across Seva Canada! This is a charity I admire, especially how they are so transparent and personal. They are an amazing team of people working tirelessly to provide eye care to those in need. I felt compelled to donate after reading some of the stories of how they bring eye care straight to the doorsteps of kids, women and adults in remote areas who otherwise wouldn't even know their condition can be treated. After making my donation, I was surprised to get a call from them just to express their gratitude! What a personal touch.
