Jacques took the time to come to the house to inspect the lock and give me a quote. He was so approachable, competent, and friendly that I asked him to examine other locks. He provided a very reasonable quote. In the end, the work was more complex than anticipated, but he delivered a high-quality solution and billed me based on the initial quote. I thought this was particularly fair, considering he returned multiple times until it was perfect and spent considerable amount of time addressing all the snags, making the final invoice seem really reasonable. Overall, a brilliant experience.
