Customer experiences
We thoroughly enjoyed our mutliple days at this property. The location makes an easy walk to the Harbour, the Empress and the Parliament Buildings as well as catching boat tours and the Harbour Taxi service. We appreciate that staff made the effort to allow us to check in early as we had a function to attend on our first afternoon. Our room was clean and comfortable, a bit noisy but not unexpected in an older building. Breakfast was more than adequate in a lovely setting. Parking was convenient.
I stayed for a week at the Huntingdon in a room called the London Loft. The hotel is unique in that it’s an older property and exudes charm and class. While this is a hotel with a distinct heritage, but they’ve done a terrific job keeping the rooms renovated and up to (and above) current standards. |Each staff member that I had contact with was friendly, professional and they were all focused on making the stay of their guests the best possible. |The entire hotel was clean and very well maintained, including my room. My room included a full and very well-equipped kitchen, a living area and upstairs in the loft, the king size bed and a closet with a safe. |My stay included a breakfast each day and while I didn’t take advantage of it, I talked with a few other guests who said it was wonderful. |I enjoyed my stay very much and would strongly recommend this hotel for your stay in Victoria.
Had a great experience during our 2 night stay. We arrived early and they held our bags and recommended places to eat. More importantly, we had rented a car but found it was an agency far from the hotel. Front desk staff were ALL helpful and called the agency and had the rental location changed to closer one. Breakfast buffet everyday was plentiful and had many choices. The dining area is bright and comfortable. Afternoon snack table was perfect for a small boost as well. Overall it was a great stay!
Not as wonderful as shown nor what I expected. Made reservations directly with the hotel and mentioned the special occasion. Rooms were clean and neat but plain. My particular room was outside of the elevators and ice machine which comes with its own set of "fun" but that wasn't so bad. One of the main challenges for me was trying to maneuver the property in general; one to get to the free breakfast which I was told was "just upstairs" - so I thought there was a ramp, elevator access until I went to see the next morning and there was NOT. Upgraded breakfast for additional charge at Pendray next door was very nice. Still not very accessible as you had to go outside, around the Huntingdon and utilize a slick ramp. Sidewalks need work to be safer for any persons walking through the property and then the grass (no parking lot access due to gate) ||Desk personnel were professional, kind and helpful. Location was above average and close to ferry to/from Seattle. Property was quiet overall. View was nice. All things considered however, next time I think I'll stay at Days Inn next door. Comparable pricing, no accessibility issues or sidewalk challenges.
