As a new patient, switching dentists can be extremely overwhelming. My kids saw Dr. Thorne and I saw Dr. Ameredes. I appreciated how black and white they approached the expected treatment plans, as well as all of the information given. I feel like our oral care plans are on a good path and I can trust what is being suggested.

I have been a patient of Dr. Thorne at Advanced Dentistry for a few years now. Going into the practice my teeth needed a lot of care. A few cavities, replacing silver fillings I had since I was a kid, a root canal and crown, and even an emergency visit that Dr. Thorne squeezed me in for the same day and didn't leave my side until I was okay. My encounters with the front desk staff were always friendly, and the hygienest are knowledgeable and thorough. I would highly recommend Advanced Dentistry to anyone!!

I switched dentists about a year ago and like this practice alot. The only disappointment is I wanted to make the practice our family dentist as we always have done in the past. My son is a college student so he is eligible for Highmark Wholecare through Pennie so we took advantage of it since my husband and I both have Medicare Advantage. I made appointments for them; they got there and were told my son's services would be 100% out of pocket because they didn't accept my son's plan. On my next visit I gave the front desk info about getting in that network (there are hundreds of local dentists that accept it) but I haven't heard anything. My husband and son made an appointment with another local dentist. I hate changing again but if they like the new one I might have to change to keep the same dentist for the family.

Front staff and hygienists are lovely, the dentists and higher ups however? Beware. Every experience I had here was a bad one, never once left without crying afterwards. Be cautious of any work they want to do and get a second opinion. They won’t take no for an answer and will do whatever they want to your teeth and throw a random number at you expecting you to pay it no questions asked despite whatever you sign at the beginning of the appointment. I wont be coming back and advise anyone considering coming here to look for an office elsewhere.
