My labor and delivery here is great. I was able to have a unmedicated hospital birth here. The nurses respected my birth wish as much as possible and didn’t push me to get medical interventions. All of the nurses helped me were amazing. Thank you! However, after the baby was born, she had low blood sugar. They said we had to feed her formula to get her blood sugar up. They didn’t give me a chance to breast feed my baby first to get her blood sugar up even though my milk was coming in already. We told them can we at least do hypoallergenic formula because our first child has a milk protein allergy. They ignored our concern. They fed her 15ml regular formula within an hour after birth. That is too much to give to a newborn who has a stomach size of a grape. Baby spit up and throw up milk 5 times the next day and had terrible gas problem. now baby has higher chance of developing eczema and allergies because she got fed formula instead of breast milk so early on in life. Talked to my friend who is a nurse that worked at a different hospital. She said they should offer donated breast milk or hydro allergic formula in our situation.

In one word, Wow! The birthing center was above and beyond great. The nurses and other staff members treated us like close family. Thank you Holly for being there for us. You made our visit memorable.

Why did I even come in? I was told to go in for severe hemorrhoid pain only to be told by the doctor that it wasn’t that bad and to be shoved off with two prescriptions. My general doctor had already wrote me prescriptions, and they weren’t helping hence the reason for a visit to the hospital. It was advised by not only your nurses but also my doctor. God forbid the doctor on call, talks to the surgeon and sees what he thinks. Just because it’s internal and not irritated at the time, does not mean it’s not debilitating. I’m having nerve pain so severe I cannot find comfort no matter what I’m doing. Also, why would you write a prescription for hydrocodone with hemorrhoids? They cause constipation. Issue compounded and worse. This hospital is ridiculous. I was in and out in probably 20 minutes. Staff was nice enough but the level of “help” was non existent. I expect better for how much these visits cost. Thanks for nothing.
