Customer experiences
Will never be going to this hospital again! Took my husband there this morning as he was having signs/symptoms of a heart attack. They got him in and did some tests, didn’t even talk to us about the results. Came in after 4 hours and said “There’s nothing wrong with you, you can go home.” Even though my husband’s blood pressure was high as well as his pulse. They sat there and even said he could go back to work tomorrow as he was leaning over in the bed in excruciating pain (he is one of those whose pain tolerance is so high that if he is willing to go to the hospital you know something is wrong). I tried politely asking if they could extend his note for work to where he could have a couple of days of rest and the doctor cut me off and said “No, I’m writing his note to say he can go back to work tomorrow”. Even though I was trying to explain to her that with his job since he works with animals that if he gets this chest pain and stuff again and passes out like he almost did today that it could be a life or death situation and she continued to cut me off and say he was fine. We went to Neosho Regional Medical Center for a second opinion and found out that my husband actually had a severe infection in the lining of his lung that was causing his pec muscle to become so inflamed that it was compressing on his heart and they said that if the infection would’ve gotten worse he could’ve been in a terrible situation and told him to rest for the remainder of the week cause any strenuous activity can make him worse! Allen County Regional Hospital is an absolute joke with their patient care and have terrible bedside manner. Dr. Jennifer Case was absolutely the most rude doctor I have ever encountered, she didn’t let us fully explain why we were there, wouldn’t let us finish talking and continually cut us off and wouldn’t even listen to our concerns about my husband returning to work tomorrow as he was sitting in the bed hobbled over in pain, he couldn’t even walk 3 feet without being in excruciating pain and all she kept saying was “He’s fine, he can go home.” This hospital is a joke
I have found ACCH top-notch in all regards. Clean, temperature controls on the mark and the staff professional and housekeeping are to be commended, they all are responsive, patient and cheerful.
Nurses put a catheter to start an iv but a syringe to draw blood, which was super messy and made my husband pass out. He has never passed out before at the sight of blood, and he's seen horrible accidents since he normally works by highways. They laughed and said he was the second one to pass out. I don't know if that's their goal or some game, but they were just like, "Yeah. Sure ok. " They never really showed that they cared at all. Would never come here again. I would rather we drive a whole hour and a half to the city. The only good thing was the receptionist. Lovely lady. Other than that, I rather risk dying
Visiting from out of state, had to come here for a seizure I had from running out of my meds. The seizure broke a tooth in my mouth completely, they sent me home with no pain medication and one week worth of seizure meds. Doctor completely didn't read any information about me prior, was incredibly rude, I had to ask numerous times for even anything at ALL for pain. She told me to come back if it still hurt. I'd recommend nobody go there if something really hurts, they're going to treat you like a loser and send you on your way. If I could sue for the way that was handled I would but there's no recording in there. Seek treatment anywhere else.
Allen County Regional Hospital is a hospital.
