Altus Lumberton Hospital

Altus Lumberton Hospital is a tremendous asset to the Lumberton community. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the genuine kindness and professionalism of the entire team. The nursing staff, providers, and support staff consistently go above and beyond to make patients feel safe, informed, and cared for during what can often be a stressful time. One of the most thoughtful features is the pediatric room. The mural is beautiful and engaging, and it clearly helps put children and parents at ease. I find it special that they have custom activity books for children as well. It’s comforting to know that so much intention has gone into creating a welcoming environment for younger patients. What truly sets this hospital apart is the visibility and compassion of its leadership. Seeing clinical leaders regularly rounding on patients, checking in personally, and ensuring concerns are addressed speaks volumes about the culture of this facility. It is also incredibly reassuring to have a micro-hospital right here in Lumberton that includes a four-bed inpatient unit upstairs. Being able to receive care and, when needed, be admitted locally instead of being transferred to larger hospitals and waiting hours (or longer) for a bed makes a huge difference for patients and families. Altus Lumberton Hospital combines high-quality care, attentive staff, and a welcoming atmosphere, and it is a true benefit to this community.

The Altus valentine event was so nice to have something to bring the grandkids to. Everyone was so friendly. Ginger told me about some future events that we look forward to attending. Everyone made sure the kids had fun playing games. Thank you Altus for your fun community event!

This is our third experience at Altus. All of them have been amazing. Everyone has always been so nice! Today our Doc was Eric G. He was extremely nice, caring, and thorough. Very grateful for his help. Our nurses were Autumn and Melanie. Both of them were awesome as well! The entire staff from the front desk to the doctors and nurses were just outstanding. So friendly, welcoming, caring, and they got us out of there quickly. Love this place! Thanks guys!!
