Michael Reinhart-MarcucciI must say there was 19 or 20 of us here for dinner last night 4/26/2025 and I will tell you they did not skip a beat from the drinks to the appetizers to the entry meal of pizza which I think is the best pizza I’ve had yet (thin) steak salads pasta you name it we had it the owner stop by multiple times to check on us. Price point was on the Money wine list was absolutely perfect per his choice. The only complaint I had is there’s a line to the bathroom 🤣 one thing I will tell you it was that good that I will physically drive 150 miles to do this again. Thank you to all the staff chef bartenders, etc.. you made for a great night
Don JeanisHonestly…. Very sad to say that I was underwhelmed with the food here. Such beautiful ambiance and great, quick service. Probably the best I had so far in a while. The food is what really disappointed me… I had the burrata with orange slices and squash. The orange was an amazing delicious touch. But the squash… kinda threw me off. Maybe a touch of finishing salt or something to make the squash more… flavorful? I had the Golden cocktail and that was really good. 8/10. Then I had the potato gnocchi. Unfortunately, I had to return the dish. It came out cold. BUT, on a good note, the truffle croquettes were SPECTACULAR, give me 14 of them right now. This was the highlight of the evening. Amazing, crispy outside, soft inside, the truffle was SPOT ON, not overpowering, 10/10. Very happy. I’ll probably give it another try some other time! 3/5 stars.
Kris KleinThis was my first time dining at Ambra and it was altogether an excellent experience! As a longtime professional in the hospitality industry I was so excited to finally come in and enjoy a lovely solo Sunday dinner. In a prime west village location, the atmosphere is cozy with a classic elevated Italian flare. Their wine selection has a great range perfect for pairing with the array of dishes on their menu. I decided on the steak carpaccio as a starter and the ingredients were so fresh and flavorful with beautiful presentation. As an entree I had the lobster pasta which was reasonably priced especially considering the large portion! A perfect robust comfort meal for a fall evening. And of course I couldn’t resist dessert- a creamy pistachio gelato with Nutella sauce, whipped cream, and candied pistachios that was decadent and not overly heavy. A perfect ending to a delicious meal. The service was very attentive and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I’m looking forward to dining here again in the future- next time with a group!
LouieIt was fine. A bit pricey, service was so good. Ariel was incredible. The vibes were also nice but I still feel like the portions were small and everything was about $6 too expensive. Kale Caesar was good, focaccia and dips were good. Docking another star because I asked for the focaccia and dips to go but they only gave me the focaccia and no dips! I paid for the dips and could have used them with more bread at home ðŸ˜
