This is the closest insurance center to our place. Unfortunately, the woman at the first desk, Carrie, is the rudest representative I have ever encountered. She spoke as if she didn’t even want to be talking to us, giving short, uninterested answers and explaining the plans without professionalism. At one point, there was a bowl of chocolates on her desk, I was simply looking at it and reading the label when she suddenly pulled it away from me without saying a word. I was shocked.

This was a very bad customer service experience. On October 1, 2025, at approximately 9:30 am, I visited the 140 East 14th St, North Vancouver location with my wife to pay for my car insurance. The young woman at the front desk, who had a nameplate at her station that read “Carrie,” was extremely rude and abrupt with her questions. Her dismissive tone was matched by her facial expressions, which made me feel as though I was an inconvenience, as if my presence was interfering with her work, or even as if I personally represented all of her problems. The unprofessional attitude and complete lack of respect were unacceptable. I eventually gave up, thanked her, and walked out of the premises without completing my business. I will not be returning and would not recommend this place to anyone. Perhaps this location needs to be reminded that customers are the most important visitors on their premises. Customers are not dependent on their business, the business is dependent on them. Customers are not an interruption to their work, they are the purpose of it. Customers are not outsiders in their business, they are part of it. And it is not a favor to serve customers, it is the customers who do the business a favor by giving it an opportunity to serve.

Heather has always been fantastic to deal with. Knowledgeable, thorough and treats you like a person, not a number. Was recommended to her years ago by my wife’s uncle and have used her as my insurance broker since.

Inefficient and Unhelpful - A Waste of Time. I reached out to Paul Ho for a term life insurance quote, specifically mentioning my residency status (working in BC on a work permit) and asking if he had experience with clients in my situation. His initial response was a simple request for my phone number, ignoring my detailed email and specific questions. After I reiterated my preference for an email exchange to keep a clear record, he finally responded with an answer that could have been provided in the very first email. He stated that he couldn't help because all the insurance companies he works with require a permanent resident application with an Acknowledgment of Receipt. This information was crucial and should have been the first thing he confirmed, saving me a significant amount of time and effort. The entire exchange felt inefficient and demonstrated a lack of attention to detail regarding a client's specific needs. It's frustrating to deal with a broker who can't provide a basic, helpful response upfront.
