I can’t say enough good things about the care I received here. I came in as an ER patient due to a very painful case of diverticulitis and stayed from 9/24 to 9/26 in room 547. Nurses: Casaundra, Shawna, Hanna, Diane. Nurse Aides: Denny & Kya. Housekeeping Hawa. Dr. Yager & Dr. Hatezman, Nurse Practitioner: Brittany — so compassionate, patient, and always ready to help with a smile. The doctors took the time to listen and explain everything in a way that made me feel comfortable and cared for and gave me peace of mind. Priceless. They went above and beyond their duties, connecting with me outside the scope of their job requirements, which truly made me feel seen and cared for. Housekeeping was very kind and worked hard to keep things clean. If I could offer one little suggestion, it would be to make sure the rooms are cleaned a bit more thoroughly and consistently. Especially the floors. Hire more staff for this department. Even with that, I could see how dedicated they were to making sure patients felt at ease. They did the best with what they have. Which shows exemplary resilience and mindfulness for their patients. Overall, I felt truly cared for by everyone — from the medical team to the support staff. Their kindness made a big difference during my stay, and I’m very grateful.

I wish I could say otherwise, but my experience delivering our baby at Baptist Hospital East was overwhelmingly negative—dirty facilities, rude staff, and incompetent nurses overshadowed the one bright spot: three competent nurses and one doctor out of the entire staff. Cleanliness: The environment felt unkempt and uncared for. Even the food quality was disappointing, compounding an already stressful situation. Staff Attitude: The majority of staff were dismissive, aloof, and borderline rude. My attempts to express concerns were often met with impatience or indifference. Nursing Care: It was alarming to encounter so many sloppy, inattentive nurses. Only a handful showed competence or real care—far too few given the critical nature of childbirth. Medical Oversight: The single competent doctor we encountered offered minimal reassurance—and certainly didn’t compensate for the broader lack of professionalism. Response to Feedback: Reviews online, there are standard apologies and a suggestion to call patient relations—nothing proactive, personal, or constructive. Bottom Line: Choosing Baptist Hospital East for childbirth was one of my biggest regrets. The staff’s incompetence and disregard made an already vulnerable moment feel isolating and unsafe. I strongly advise exploring other hospitals in the area.

You know.. I called around to multiple hospitals every one was so nice except this hopsital.. I had a question asking if they had a dentist on call and started to explain things just like I did to the other hospitals I called and this lady answered cut me off. Was ruder to me than anyone I’ve ever talked to in the health care system. I understand if you can’t give advice. I wasn’t asking advice I was asking if a dentist was on staff just like the other hospitals and everyone else was nice and told me if there was or not. I understand if you have a bad day and I’m sure you got a lot going on. But you shouldn’t take it out on people who are in need of help and desperately calling around for help because I can’t waste gas driving everywhere. Never going there. Ever. And I just have had bad experiences altogether here.

Over the last few months, my mother had several trips and stays at Baptist. The treatment she received was outstanding. I never felt like we’re being ignored or just another patient to deal with. She spent several days on different floors at different times. Everybody I came in contact with (doctors, nurses, aides, food service) they all seem to care and were pleasant and helpful. I can’t say enough good things about the people I had dealings with.
