Nick WeakleyJust stayed one night but it was excellent. The building itself was very well maintained considering its age and been tastefully managed. The room was a good size and comfortable. We ate at the restaurant in the evening and were very glad we did. Quality was excellent, service all round was exemplary. Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning.

Staff couldn't do enough for you, and the food was all excellent as well. The Sunday roast was probably our highlight. Highly recommended
Tony VaughanObviously a bad night. Saturday 6pm, table booked. Understaffed, overbooked, overpriced. Empty unwashed glasses all over the bar. People waiting long times to get served, orders taken and to be seated. Dishes on menu not available, at 6pm. Staff did their best, management need to look at this. Will not return.
Michelle NeedhamVisited here for lunch with friends. The food was OK, I had an open ham hock sandwich, which I found to be quite dry. However, the chips it came with were very good. Also, all three of us fancied something with chocolate for dessert, but there wasn't one thing which we thought was strange given it was Christmas time. Also, I ordered an Irish coffee and my friend a latte, she received hers very quickly but I had to wait at least 10 minutes which wasn't great when we were looking to leave by the time it arrived. The pub/restaurant itself is very pretty and lovely inside, and we said we would go back and try it again, maybe when the menu changes.
