Lindsay DGreat location - next door to the football stadium, close to town, retail park, train station etc. and has its own car park. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Beds, including fold out beds, were comfortable.||A few things which could be improved are: entrance and lounge/dining area are nicely decorated however they needed cleaning when we arrived. For instance there were cigarette butts on the floor in reception and crumbs on the tables and chairs in the lounge/dining area.|There is a pee smell in the bathroom. It looked clean, so it might be that the shower curtains need changing.|There was no working extractor fan in the bathroom, so the mirror was drenched for ages after you have a shower. The shower head was broken. The soap dispenser was empty. The cups in the room looked like they’d just been rinsed out as there were brown coffee marks in the bottom.||We only stayed for one night and so overall, it met my expectations for a budget hotel and is one of the better Travelodges.

Location of the hotel is central in Ipswich good choice of restaurants close by to give various eating options. |Food available in the hotel also which is basic but ok. |Parking is a bonus as they EV charging which is a massive bonus for me but it is chargeable.
Jarrett KOn first inspection of room it seemed fine. TV was rather small and bathroom was very tight. Felt like I was in a caravan when sat on toilet, wedged between sink and wall. Nice drinks selection for kettle and coffee machine. Blackout curtains definitely don’t block out light, especially if there is a football game on and floodlights are on until gone 11pm. Staff seemed friendly and nice but very understaffed. Often wait to get served at bar when you’re the only person there as they have one member of staff for bar and reception. Food service very slow and extremely basic. Desserts ok but main meals unsatisfactory. Breakfast seems chaotic with tables left dirty and litter / dirty cups at drink station. Stayed 5 nights for work. On first night I took food to room. Luckily I washed the plate in my sink as it was not removed from my room and remained there when I left, despite putting the sign out for a room service. Fresh towels left on bed with teabags / coffee but old towels not taken away. Bin not emptied the entire time I was there and was overflowing by the time I left. Dirty mugs and spoons not changed so forced to wash these in the bathroom. Toilet roll not replaced all week, despite using the spare. Hand soap dispenser empty all week.
Colin BStayed for one night visiting ipswich versus mcfc. |Got off the train and the hotel is literally 5 minutes away and bang next door to the stadium. |Rooms are lovely for a travelodge, probably the best i have used in football my travels. |The rooms are quite modern almost new looking. |I plumbed for the breakfast at ÂŁ9.99 in the morning and wow what a treat that was. |First down at seven owing to jetlag but the choice for a travelodge was unreal, gluten free cornflakes and dairy free yoghurts, full buffet English breakfast so just help yourself and go back as often as you want. |This really is a great place to stay especially for Portman road. |I will definitely be back and at ÂŁ35 booked in advance you really cannot moan about that.
