Blue Ridge Insurance

My experience with Cameron Judd, Personal Insurance Specialist at Blue Ridge, was not a good one. I initially contacted Cameron in February 2025. For about one to two weeks, we discussed how she could help me lower my homeowner’s insurance. At first, everything went well, Cameron was very responsive until she wasn’t. On February 19, 2025, I signed a new Blue Ridge policy. However, on February 27, 2025, I contacted Cameron to let her know I had decided to keep my existing policy instead. She told me she would email me the cancellation forms that same day, but she never did. Months went by. To my surprise, six months later I received a letter from Blue Ridge stating that I had an active policy. I was confused, as I never canceled my previous policy of 19 years. I contacted Cameron and asked why I was just now being notified about this policy when I had clearly expressed my intention to cancel. Cameron insisted she had emailed the cancellation forms on February 27, 2025. I told her I never received them. She continued to claim she had sent them, but after that day, I never heard from her again until just recently. Eventually, Cameron admitted it was due to “human error", that she couldn’t find the email with the cancellation forms. The truth is, she was not able to provide proof that she sent them and never followed up to confirm if I had received anything back in February. As a result of this lack of communication and follow-up, my mortgage company ended up paying both my original insurer and Blue Ridge ,within three months of each other. Because of this, a significant amount of money was paid out unnecessarily on overlapping homeowner’s insurance policies. Cameron offered no apology for her mistake and showed no empathy for the stress this situation caused. I will never use her services again, nor would I recommend her to anyone. This experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing.
