The waiting room and the room I was taken to was pretty small. The staff were friendly and caring. My wait time to be seen was very quick. I would recommend if having minor issues,almost like an urgent care. If needing or having something more serious going on, I'd go someplace else.
My elderly mom had a hip break with surgery. Her rehab care at Bluegrass was personal, professional, responsive and friendly. The entire staff listen week to the family. The caseworkers were amazing to work with and always available on site when we had questions. They were sympathetic and empathetic, taking the time to explain things as we needed. Dealing with any rehab situation can be daunting for families who have never been through this. They made it tolerable. OT and PT were in and out all day and worked with her to get her ready for return to life. Nurses and techs were warm and friendly, giving great care and attention! A positive experience overall and we are grateful!
Update- After my experience earlier today, I received a phone call from the hospital. I truly appreciated the fact that someone took the time to reach out, listen to what I went through, and offer a sincere apology. It meant a lot to feel heard and understood, especially given how stressful the situation was with my son. The person I spoke with was kind, professional, and genuinely cared about making things right. I’m thankful for their call and the compassion they showed it definitely helped restore some trust. I hope future visits reflect the care and attentiveness I experienced during this follow-up. I brought my 2-year-old in at 6:30 AM with a severe diaper rash — his skin was raw, bleeding, and he was in visible pain. I was terrified and expected urgent care. Instead, I was yelled at by nurses while my child cried, and one of them even grabbed him out of my arms without asking — no warning, no explanation. Completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, the doctor stood across the room and never even examined my child. How can you evaluate a suffering toddler from across the room? The staff was cold, rude, and acted like we were wasting their time. I left feeling helpless, angry, and completely failed by a place that’s supposed to help. This was a traumatic experience that no parent or child should ever have to go through.
