multiple bad experiences of this practice, it took more than 6 months to send my fertility referral off and i was advised on multiple occasions this has been done , i contacted one day and requested a copy of the referral letter to then be advised there wasn't one as the referral had been noted but nothing sent, if i hadn't of requested the proof i would still be waiting, the manger was great in resolving this but a shame the staff wrongly advised for so long. I went in today for an appointment at 9am for my Flu jab and whilst waiting 20 mints in reception I witnessed one side of a receptionist dealing with a difficult patient on the phone who wanted an appointment today and understandably the surgery didn't have any left to offer, the manor she was speaking to the difficult patient was disgusting and no where near the level of service a receptionist should be trained to, after this call ended the manor she then spoke to patients waiting at reception was beyond me, a witnessed her being abrupt and rude to at least 5 patients and this stemmed from her being annoyed with the previous call she had to deal with. In a customer focused job role you need to have the ability to stay calm and respect people around you and she clearly didn't have this ability, we sometimes have to deal with difficult people but the ability to bounce back and smile at the next person is a must for a doctors receptionist where people are already stressed due to being sick. I will certainly now be looking for an alternative doctors as witnessing what i did today was terribly upsetting.
Doctor was good, understanding of my health, and did what was needed ,also put me on gabapentin for my pain as my pain is keeping me awake at night, haven't slept for 3 days and this is my 3rd night, hopefully these tablets will sort me out and I can get some sleep,I think it's my pain that contributes to my lack of eating,it's not the cause but it's not helping my situation, sleep and food is my problem, really hope my chemist doesn't take a week to deliver my medication,I can't stand the pain in my back and leg,I'm up and down taking painkillers all night,it's so frustrating when all I wanna do is sleep, painfree
Have met with the doctors and they are superb but before you can get to them, tye receptionist are zero. Imagine going to confirm your BP reading cos it's high on the machine you have at home and you are told to come back 5 days later to see the nurse as that is the available slot.
Ordered my repeat meds on Monday and Tuesday this week, (it's Thursday evening now) kept getting told it will be put down as urgent request yesterday and today and still nothing. Told them I have asthma and diabetic but keep getting fobbed off with different excuses. Fed up of this practice did the same last month aswell, practically kept getting told to email what meds I need everytime i called which resulted in me emailing 3 times and couldnt test my blood sugars for 5 days due to no meds. It's been 4 days since I requested it now nothing still told to call back tomorrow. Let's see what happens when I call and which excuse I get given now. Need a manager to call me as its not on!!
