Customer experiences
My boyfriend and I recently stayed here and overall had a mixed experience. The room was clean and cozy, and the in-room fireplace was such a nice touch. The staff were friendly, and the spa services we received (couples massage and facials) were by far the best part of our stay — absolutely wonderful. That said, Club 268 was a major disappointment. The spa area is very small — the sauna and steam room fit maybe four people each, and the soaking pool only has four chairs around it. The sauna is electric and not hot at all, and there’s even an extra charge for the cold plunge, which felt unreasonable given the premium cost of Club 268 access. The “exclusive” lounge food was first come, first serve with no replenishment, and when we arrived for breakfast over the weekend there was no coffee available. The “24-hour snack options” were just a small selection of chips. Overall, I found the marketing for Club 268 deceptive. There were no photos of the amenities we could find and the descriptions were overhyped. We paid a premium price for “exclusive access,” but the experience felt subpar. Overall a relaxing weekend. We would absolutely return for the spa services, but not for Club 268.
Originally booked for may but had to cancel our anniversary trip last minute due to emergency. Arrived in October for our "belated anniversary" and were treated to non-stop luxury, both from the staff and via the unmatched room and services. Both of our meals were at the best table in the house and could not have been more romantic. Our servers were both excellent and gave us quick history facts and asked us personal questions with interest. The front desk staff was always ready with bottled water or suggestions for activities. They treated us to champagne when the power went out and did not hesitate to give us their full attention when we asked a question or greeted them on the way out. Our time in the soaking pool included unlimited fancy seltzer drinks, snacks and cold towels outside of the hot tub. The view of the falls when you first walk to them is truly breathtaking. There are so many amazing places to walk to from the lodge. Check-out the Apiary and Lower Falls Park. The first thing I remember about the room is how quiet it was. Not a single step or noise of any kind was heard unless we opened the window. That would allow you to hear the waterfall flowing. It is the greatest of white noises. Everything is clean and well cared-for. The furnishings were comfortable and stylish. Daily turn-down service is something I usually refuse, but this time I'm glad I made an exception. I could go on and on. This was, Top to Bottom (T to B), the best hotel/resort/lodge I've ever stayed in.
The room was quiet and peaceful. We were in the bottom floor with a patio so our dog could go outside easily. The staff were very friendly and helpful, putting our bags in our room for us while we went on a hike nearby. The restaurant was amazing. The chateaubriand steak was as good as El Gaucho downtown. Overall, extremely enjoyable experience!
Stayed for a night with my family and two dogs - the Patio King room was very spacious and comfortable, the bathtub was great. Our dogs were provided with bowls and blankets to sleep on, as well as some treats. Dinner was very nice, we got an outdoor table (can get a bit chilly later in the evening during autumn) and had a great view of the sunset as dinner started. The staff was professional and friendly, the food was great. The Delmonico steak was seasoned perfectly - one of the better steaks I've had in a restaurant. Breakfast was good too, the potatoes au gratin was delicious. Pricey experience, but worth it for a relaxing getaway.
