Customer experiences
Like Bette Davis said " what a dump!" Upon entry, the room smelled musty with peeling wallpaper, a poor paint job, lumpy beds and super thin towels. The windows in the room do not lock (poor security) and have no screens. The hallways have dirty carpet and there are no elevators. Thumbs up to the maids, they did the best they could with what they had to work with. The complimentary breakfast had a very limited selection. It should be opened longer than 9am. Just not a great experience overall from checkin to checkout. This place is totally overpriced for the area. Other hotels offer more amenities for similar prices. Shop around. If I could have found another hotel, I would have canceled immediately!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent Stay – Would 100% Return! We had a wonderful stay here. The room was nice, clean, and well-kept, with very comfortable beds. The free breakfast was fantastic — lots of options to choose from, making it the perfect start to the day. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even better. The hotel’s layout is beautiful, and you can see the charm and potential it has to be a lively, happening place. While there’s no pool currently, you can still see where one once was, and the restaurant/bar space could be a real gem if it were opened up as a fine dining venue. I would absolutely return here and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, friendly, and enjoyable stay.
This is a very budget friendly hotel. The room was spacious and very clean. Check in was very quick and staff are very friendly and professional. The hotel is centrally located and several amenities are within walking distance (Lawtons Drug Store, A&W, Guy French's, gas bar/store ). We stayed for 2 days and would definitely go back again.
This is an overpriced run down hotel that is outdated in its rooms and not even particularly clean. Walls are very thin and you can hear people distinctly talking in next room. Bathrooms are so old they look dirty. Front desk staff were not very helpful, and a couple were downright rude to other patrons. I witnessed these interactions and could not believe how customers paying over $200 a night were being treated. The front desk staff don't even look up in the morning to say hello. Breakfast room is so small that they ask you to leave when you are almost done so others can get in. There is zero variety of what is offered daily. Breakfast hours are 6-9 (need to go until 10) and again you are asked to leave once 9 arrives so you can't linger over a coffee. There is no lobby that you an even gather in to sit and chat other than one couch under the stairs. We had to ask to have our room attended to after the first day when it was not done and the second day the beds were made, but no towels or bathroom toilet paper resupplied and no vacuuming. Most rooms are very dated and have a terrible smelling carpet that is soiled. It is bad. No elevator and no help to be had with bags to second floor. Rooms on second floor feel claustrophobic. Old shoulder-high level windows with screens. AC/Heating unit is so loud it sounds like an airplane taking off. I cannot recommend a stay at this hotel at all. It is just plain bad value for money. There are better places in Bridgewater at similar costs like the Best Western Plus
