I would strongly advise against taking your pets to this clinic. A good friend of mine went here and was given unnecessary medications, X-rays, and ultrasounds — yet after three months, still received no clear diagnosis and the poor cat was still ill. My friend eventually took their cat elsewhere and found it was a simple, short-term illness that was resolved in a week with antibiotics. Avoid this clinic if you want honest and reliable care for your pets.

I don’t know how it’s taken so long for my partner and I to write this review but we just have to say that we are so thankful for Riverside South Animal Hospital! All of the vets and support staff are so delightful, kind, and helpful. We have one cat and one dog, both of whom have been in multiple times over the years for various appointments. We have always felt so confident in the level of care and attention our pets receive at each visit and the vast knowledge imparted to us when we have nervous questions about our babies. A sincere thank you to all from Draper, Karma, Lindsay and Angie.

The entire process was well-organized, the environment was clean and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Our dog suffered a severe adverse reaction after we followed medication advice from Dr. Heather Fitch at Riverside South Animal Hospital. She gave this advice without confirming dosage, weight, or formulation, and provided no warning about potential side effects. When our dog became sick, the clinic ignored us for over a week, then responded with a letter that failed to address any of our concerns and instead attempted to shift blame onto us. Dr. Fitch later admitted in writing that she routinely gives verbal medication recommendations without documentation or dosage information. This is a direct violation of the College of Veterinarians of Ontario’s professional standards which states it is professional misconduct to provide or prescribe a drug without maintaining appropriate records of the advice. Her admission confirms a breach of duty of care. When this was raised, she doubled down and told us to take it to the CVO. We have since obtained transcripts and records that fully support our account. This experience was not only unprofessional, it was dangerous. I strongly advise anyone considering care here to think twice. Response to Owners: Your documentation proves you LIED about recommending Benadryl. You have an entry that states we gave him Reactine and then gave us ALTERED medical records that conveniently remove any mention of me saying I’d used Reactine. You fabricated a call that NEVER happened in his medical records saying I asked you about Benadryl. Funny, I never called you, my wife did. You also didn’t doctor the medical records well enough because you don’t explain how you got the information that we’d given him 30MG of Reactin which suddenly turns into 100MG of Benadryl and no explanation of how you got there in the AUDIO TRANSCRIPT. Where is the part of the audio transcript that accounts for me telling you I used Reactine to in your notes being suddenly “They’re giving him Benadryl” There is no record of us saying that. You recommended it, then falsified your medical records to show what you wanted. At min this is reckless record keeping, at worse you’ve intentionally falsified medical records. Then you want to double down and tell me to go to the CVO with all the proof you handed me AND have the cheek to respond to this when I have PROOF? Ok. Avoid these reckless liars.
