My doctor and the paramedic in place of the nurse was absolutely amazing! Doctor found a major issue others have had no luck of identifying and may have saved my life. Definitely is getting me on the path of a better quality of life. Without his dedication and thoroughness, this would've been left to worsen and dibilate me! He was hands down amazing as well as all of the other staff! No questions asked! Best doctor I have ever seen and I've seen hundreds literally!! Nobody but him has found it and I couldn't be more thankful for him and the staff. Very compassionate people with excellent bed side manner.
As a patient at Flaget Memorial Hospital, I unfortunately had a frustrating experience that left me with serious concerns — particularly regarding the ER department and certain aspects of staff behavior. To begin with, the wait times in the emergency room were far longer than expected. I understand that emergencies must be prioritized, and that ERs can get backed up. However, the lack of communication during the hours-long wait made the situation worse. Patients were left in the dark, with little to no updates or acknowledgment from staff, which only increased the stress of being there. What was more disappointing, though, was the attitude of some of the nursing staff — particularly during triage and procedures like stress testing. A number of the nurses came across as arrogant and dismissive, with a clear lack of empathy. It often felt like their priority was being “right” or exerting authority, rather than truly listening to and helping patients. In situations where patients are already feeling vulnerable or in pain, that kind of attitude is not only unprofessional — it’s unacceptable. While there were a few staff members who were respectful and did their jobs with care, the overall atmosphere didn’t feel patient-centered. A hospital should be a place where patients feel seen, heard, and supported — especially in critical or uncertain moments. Flaget Memorial has some serious work to do in improving communication, reducing wait times, and fostering a more compassionate and respectful culture among staff.
This place was great. Love small town hospitals like this. Clean, hardly anyone there, cool laid back staff and the doctors took care of me really quick. I had a bullseye rash from a tick bite and the whole experience was straightforward. I was in an out with antibiotics prescribed in about an hour.
