We were at the Dryden Hospital yesterday for my hip replacement. I have never had surgeries before so I was a little anxious. From the time we walked in until the time we left, the care, knowledge and patience made this experience absolutely wonderful. It's strange to say I "enjoyed" my surgery but everything was explained to us and never did I feel any unease throughout the process. All the nurses and physiotherapists were fantastic and Dr. Droll and Dr. Duffy were wonderful. They made sure all our questions were answered and made sure we knew what to expect. I will be having my second hip replaced in 3 to 4 months and I'm hoping we will be back in Dryden. Thanks to everyone at the Dryden Hospital. Anne Pajamaki

Excellent and supportive emergency department in a remote area. We recently had a medical emergency near Dryden and are so thankful for the excellent work of the first responders, nurses, doctors and all support staff.

On December 2, 2024 I was scheduled for a full hip replacement I tried and regional hospital. I have to say that this was the most positive experience I’ve ever had in terms of a surgical procedure. The staff was amazing. Everyone in the operating room was so kind and so supportive. Cute story, they noticed a tattoo on my back that said one love and played Bob Marley “don’t worry about a thing” and they were all singing helping to bring my increased blood pressure down knowing I was nervous. I don’t think I’ve felt so much care and genuine concerned from a room full of strangers. It was beautiful. The surgery was also done incredibly well thanks to the amazing Dr. Cullinan The anaesthesiologist was wonderful and asked very in-depth questions so that she knew exactly what I needed and I received freezing in such a kind and gentle way. Thank you to Jennifer my nurse she was full of smiles and made me feel so safe and comfortable and all the rest of the people in the operating room with their songs and laughs and even the loving nurse with her beautiful accent and kind eyes and warm hugs. It all made me feel fully comfortable and trusting of this procedure and all the people involved. Big thank you to Dryden hospital and all the beautiful people for all your care. I knew I was in good hands i would definitely come back to Dryden again when I need surgery in the future. With so much gratitude I’m heading home and feeling good considering yesterday I received a full hip replacement . Your all amazing people. Thank you for everything Allison Johnston

Had surgery, returned to hospital with excessive bleeding from the site. Left to wait for three hours until dressing was soaked completely through. Meanwhile I could hear nurses gossiping unkindly about a patient with police officers, an empty waiting room and a bed too small to lay on. This hospital does not prioritize patients properly EVER. Long story short, I left without care (again). Hope I don't bleeding out before I get to Sioux lookout
