Very helpful with an information request. I didn't ask his name but I think on the receipt it might have said Shahil was very helpful. And then the next time I came in for further information another gentleman asked his manager and helped get my documents in a quick manner.

Upon walking into this branch, I was not greeted by either of the staff working as they were chatting amongst themselves wasn’t really sure which desk to walk up to. Carmen, one of the tellers was Unhelpful spoke quietly and quite Unfriendly, probably upset that I interrupted her conversation. Upon making a small cash withdrawal, I was questioned And had to give her a reason why I wanted to access my own cash which I have been a member since 2003. Very rudely, she told me that they experience fraud And gang activity. If you want to be questioned for using your own money, please bank At this Victoria Drive Vancity branch. Will be moving Banks as soon as Possible. This branch has lost its quick and friendly service At its old branch, a couple doors down.

Vancity recently moved half a block south of its old location on Victoria Drive. New location is modern and ATM machines are now indoors. Anyway, I would have given the review couple more stars if it wasn’t for the inconvenience. It was Sunday morning and I was going to use the ATM but before I open the door I notice a homeless person sleeping on the ground near the ATM machines. This is a young guy in his 20s or 30s. As you can see in my picture attached you can see some sleeping on the ground. As a result I didn’t even bother going in as I had a separate similar experience at another location. I am not discriminating homeless people but they shouldn’t sleep inside the financial institution. It just make some people feel uncomfortable doing banking. I wish Vancity would do something about it.

I don’t recommend Vancity to anyone, if you want good service and a good bank. Definitely avoid this location. I’ve already had bad experiences with Vancity. Upon trying to close my account, the teller Kurt made me pay a fee to close it and guaranteed that the account would be closed by end of day. He said that he didn’t have time at that moment to close it because it was too busy, but said it’d be 100% closed by end of day. I also spoke to the manager who asked me why I’m closing the account. When I told him why, he gave the OK to close the account. However, they did not end up closing my account. In turn, I ended up getting charged overdraft fees. I had to speak with over 5 different people just to close it which took 1.5 weeks. Definitely do not recommend Vancity to anyone. Go with a different bank, unless you want them to take your money and give terrible service.
