DO NOT USE THIS BANK FOR COMMERCIAL LENDING. I refinanced from them to another bank back in 2020 and they never released my properties and now I cant close my refi now because it shows they still are a lien holder and they are not. They never filed the paperwork and now they won't answer phone calls. I requested them to call the past week and nothing. Now I have to drive over an hour to resolve this. If you need a good bank for commercial then go with Old National Bank. During the time I was with Motorola/Consumer credit union I owned a 6 unit apartment building that they didn't have a loan with but used as collateral for other buildings. I asked them if they would finance it then and they said no but you can sell it. By the time I sold it the deal I had for 3 six unit building with a garage was sold. As of today those building are worth $1.5 million more than 8 years ago. Stay away from this bank and Mark Holliday.

This past week I was in the process of refinancing my vehicle from Capital One and I was given the idea to try a credit union instead of a big box bank. My family has dealt with Consumers since before they merged with Meadows CU so I gave it a try and I am so happy I did. Angel Arizmendi is wonderful, he was able to work with me in order to get my car refinance and a big loan to consolidate all my debt. Everything was done same day and checks mailed overnight out. If you need a car loan, I would highly suggest you go to Angel Arizmendi at Consumers Credit Union in Schaumburg. Starting with the pre- approval process and ending with the loan closing, Angel provided absolutely excellent service. It was fast, efficient and professional. We received a great rate and solid advice from Angel and his staff. I don't believe it could have been any easier. You will not regret choosing Angel and Consumers Credit Union for your car loan needs.

I have been with CCU since they absorbed Andigo. I have had my visa credit card with them for over 30 years and I never contested or requested to charge back a dishonest merchant until now. I bought 2 batteries for my truck from advanced auto parts that had a 3 year warrantee on them. when I started the truck the alternator was at 10v for about 15 min. I had Jiffylube tell me the batteries were end of life. AAP told me it was my charging system that was bad. My mechanic confirmed the batteries only had 40 cranking amps. I had them replace them. I took the batteries back to AAP and they still tested good on their system. fair enough I just want my $550 back. they only offered replacement which I am very skeptical about at this point that they would just give me bad batteries again. I contested the charge. This is clearly a warrantee situation. I am done with their CC my capital one card would have re reimbursed the charge. what is the point in using CCU credit card? the merchants pass along the fees. this bank is a money grab with no customer service.
