Crunch Fitness West Hamilton

All of the employees here are amazing. Colin always chats and makes me feel welcome, the manager is so easy to talk to, and probably my new favourite person is the newest addition to the front desk, Mikeera. She has the most beautiful smile and kind spirit. She makes you feel so welcome when you walk through the front doors. She is the perfect person to greet us first. We also had a great convo about my fear of not fitting in and working out in public and she did everything to ease my mind, pump up my tires and remind me that I'm worth every bit of space as the rest of the people there. The place needs equipment repairs and some sprucing up for sure, which is in the works to happen, but the personnel more than make up for what the club is lacking. Keep up the great customer service guys!

This has historically been a great gym for the price and overall quality. Recently though, a lot of the machines have been out of order, the air-powered machines seem to have been decommissioned, and it feels like equipment is disappearing faster than it’s being repaired or replaced. I’ve noticed this gradually over the past six months. I’m not sure if it’s due to maintenance issues, cheaper equipment, or people misusing the machines, but it’s getting harder to justify paying for a membership without seeing some reinvestment back into the gym. That said, I genuinely like this place and would be more than happy to change this to a 5-star review if the equipment is brought back up to standard.

I’ve been coming to crunch west Hamilton for a while now and despite the older building it is so warm and welcoming! Each time I walk in Mikeera is smiling at the front desk and welcoming me in! If I walk into the gym not ready to be there and with a bad attitude I know Mikeera will cheer me up and pump up my tires before I hit the weights :) Her kind personality and warmth compliment her excellent customer service skills. Whether I want to chat, get advice on my gym split or help with my account she’s there! The entire staff has been nothing but kind and supportive of my fitness journey :)
