The hotel isn’t perfect and seems a bit run-down, but I want to acknowledge the dedication and kindness of the person at the reception. He appears to be managing everything on his own, yet he’s always available when needed. We had to check in after the requested time (10 p.m.), and he accepted without any problem. We asked for a fridge and a microwave, and he installed both in the room. The hotel is located near several convenience stores and two bus stops, which is very practical. It’s also a very quiet place. The room was comfortable and spacious, which was a nice surprise. That said, the Wi-Fi didn’t work very well, and the pool was out of service. Still, for a budget stay in New Orleans, I would recommend it.

I would like to say a big thank you to the staff and manager of Sunrise Inn & Suites. Thank you for making my stay comfortable, safe and stress free. John in particular was welcoming and made sure I was safe and secure whilst staying at the Inn. The room was clean, with ensuite shower and bath, the bed was so comfortable, wish I could take the mattress home with me ! lol. The location was perfect as local shops, restaurants and takeaway foods were very close by and within walking distance away from the Inn. Thanks again from Janet.

If I could give a negative star I would. I paid for the room and booked for a specific check in (which doesn’t give much). I am here for work and just needed somewhere to shower and sleep. I was an hour late since my job is unpredictable (to which i understand is frustrating) but I was treated rudely. Instead of offering a refund I was told to check in later. I said I wasn’t able too since I go back to work later. He checked me in with attitude, was told if it happened again he wouldn’t check me in. I told him thank you because I do understand the times and that sometimes it sucks, but I also know that most hotels have employees working graveyard shifts. I’m not from here. It never said there wasnt a night time employee. I also requested a non smoking room but my room smells like straight ash tray. This whole experience made me realize I’d rather pay 200 and do shady stuff to get a good room, rather than be treated with such disrespect. Don’t come here. If I wasn’t so worn out, I’d leave and ask for a refund. Thanks.

I should’ve known by location & the presentation of the office alone, but we proceeded. There was a gate with a code to let people into the parking lot so I thought the part we actually stay in would be nicer. The bed skirt had black stains all over it, no lamp shades on the lamps, black hairs on the bed, & even the baseboards were covered in dirt. Along with leftover bottle caps from the previous people. It took us 5 minutes of being in the room to realize we wanted a refund. I will say, the man at the front desk was nice & offered us a refund immediately.
