Wonderful experience if that can be said for a surgical procedure and a hospital stay. French made my visit for a major surgery literally as painless as possible. From the friendly and knowledgeable volunteer staff upon arrival, the efficient surgery prep nurses, to the surgery itself and then the after care, French Hospital made what could have been a very bad time into a relaxed and helpful one. All my needs were attended to with care and smiles and all questions clarified and answered with patience and kindness. Every single staff member from kitchen, surgery and janitorial to the doctors, surgeons and nurses made my stay feel more like the Ritz Carlton than a hospital. I am forever grateful to them all and can't recommend this hospital enough. Thank you for taking such great care of me and my family French Hospital! I am on the mend and feeling better than ever!
I'm assuming this has to do with my appointment today to get an xray at the radiology center? It was a bit unclear when asking for my feedback just now, because I've had a wide range of experiences when being serviced by a dignity health - French hospital center, but today everything went well. It seemed to be a well run and good vibe office (Whereas you can tell with some -especially medical - offices that everyone is stressed out, the person checking you in is stressed and crabby, calls are not being answered and the phone keeps ringing, and there is high tension - whereas this was not a tense or stressful office as far as i could tell and I have a high radar for that kind of situation). I was called back pretty quickly, and the X-ray tech was really nice and everything was quick and easy and painless (no pun intended). and I felt like I got something accomplished for the day, so I wish this was the only thing on my to-do list every day was to go get an X-ray at the radiology center in Templeton! 🤣 Oh! And P.S. - they have a giant fountain in the hallway that I could hear from the waiting room and on my way out. I even stopped to take it in for a minute. Very calming, to the point that it has been a whole day, and it stuck with me to mention it in a review. So obviously well done, people! Things like that go a long way for me. I wish it was in the waiting room to be honest, but just having it at all is a bonus over other medical offices that I have been treated at.
I was seen by the doctor before I even got checked in with the emergency department clerk. He came out to the waiting area to assess me almost as soon as I was rolled in. I was in X-ray within 15 minutes. The very best emergency room hospital experience. Thank you!
Absolutely unacceptable experience in the ER. I came in after frequently fainting and having a known brain tumor, and was made to wait over five hours before being given a bed. In that time, all they ran were basic blood work and an EKG—which is shocking considering my medical history. They were going to discharge me without conducting an MRI, and only after I pushed did they proceed with proper imaging. Once finally placed in a bed, I had to repeatedly ask to have a painful IV removed, and no one offered me food or water until I explicitly requested it. The lack of attentiveness and compassion was disturbing for an emergency department. To make matters worse, when I followed up to access my MRI images, a nurse was shockingly rude—telling me it sounded like “a good learning lesson” for not calling before medical records closed. I was previously told my results would be available on the portal. This was not only unprofessional and dismissive, but it added to an already traumatic experience. This ER showed a gross lack of urgency, empathy, and communication. Patients in vulnerable conditions deserve better care—and certainly better treatment from staff.
