I moved into 897 Notre-Dame St, Unit 20, Embrun ON on August 15th 2025 and am moving January 31st 2026 due to nothing but drama from a neighbor. I was told that anyone who lives in this unit moves out before a year. The landlord plays favorites to this "Karen" and would ignore mine and my roommates requests. It has been a horrible place to live. I have lost 30 lbs since the summer due to anxiety and stress. I'm also disabled with a service dog so just want to live in peace. I do not recommend anyone to rent this unit.

I moved in a few days ago (Blackburn Landing) and, I absolutely love my little apartment .. my small dog, Rosie does too!! Nat and Rita have been very helpful when I have questions. I was very happy to meet these two ladies along with Rachel .. at the open house. I have already met at least half a dozen tenants here and everyone seems friendly. The photos below are of my very first sunrise in my new apartment as well as my Rosie enjoying that very same sunrise!!

I applied for an apartment on very short notice and was impressed at how easy they made it for me. I had to deal with multiple teams at Dore and each group was very helpful, professional and responsive. This made a very stressful time in my life considerably better. Thank you Dore :)

The Finance & Legal Affairs Manager at Dore Mr. Martin Gauthier is very unpleasant to speak with. I think he has difficulty communicating in the English language. I would advise against renting from Dore if you have young children as they do not do criminal record checks, it is not a safe rental company for families. I would look elsewhere in Ottawa lots of more professional rental agencies in town such as District Realty, Fleming Property Management or CLV Group Also I have to agree with the other posts that Dores properties aren't the most desirable or maintained and communication at the office is terrible given how much they charge for their rent. Expect alot and I mean alot of emails requesting the most ridiculous things from you as a tenant to be done immediately but months for action from them over the simplest of requests. You will have withdrawals from your bank account that you will not be told about, so always keep extra when they withdraw your rent and always check the amount they might try add on a bill they don't want to pay. Summary Very difficult company to deal with, very poor communication, very unprofessional and very expensive rent, unsafe accommodation, poorly maintained Avoid Dore at all costs I would highly recommend going elsewhere Response to the reply: Why would my Google name be in your database? I have close to 500 very legitimate reviews, rarely do I give a one star. Did Rita write that Response? It seems like something she would say
