I was very impressed with the professional and thorough service I received at Dorsey Family Dental! My hygienist spent a very long time cleaning my teeth and made me feel comfortable during the x-rays. Dr Ikram was very kind in explaining everything. At the end they gave me full cost break down of everything and a treatment plan going forward.

I went to Dorsey Family Clinic for a simple cleaning. They wanted to do a dental gum probe, which I did not want. They told me it was required by my insurance company. So, I left the clinic. I called my insurance company, Humana, and they told me a gum probe was not required. I called the dental office manager back and told her the information she gave me about the requirement from my insurance company was not correct. She agreed she gave me incorrect information, and her office was requiring the gum probe to protect them from legal liability. It is sad when one is given untrue information. I didn't want a gum probe, they are my teeth and it is my decision, and it is not required by the insurance company. I will look elsewhere for a more forthright dental office.

The staff are always SUPER friendly, professional and kind. My dentist always remembers my name , very, very good in her work( they have done a lot in repairing my broken down smile!) of which I’m so Grateful for! They all have a bedside manner! So Thanks to the whole crew @ Dorsey Family Dental!!! You Are The BEST!!!!😃🩷

Are these people real, family members or coworkers on the other reviews??? . If you go to this practice website it explains what to expect with your first dental visit. You think a cleaning would be involved when you have an in network PPO insurance that pays for two a year that you still have not used. They did not know I had been to another dentist last year. Had “real X-rays”. I specifically mentioned three times in my visit I had to be done in two hours and made sure I would have my teeth cleaned. They took well over one hour of computer pictures. The cleaning takes 30 minutes at 10:20 I told them I could stay till 11 or as needed to do it. I specifically came there for. The dentist looked at my mouth for 10 minutes. X-rays for an hour snd 15 minutes. The girl had to stop several times. Could not work the computer or log in at one point. She dropped things several times. Took well over 20 computer photos of my mouth. I was very uncomfortable. It actually hurt. Not once was asked do you need to swallow or breathe. So my appointment started at 9 am I got zero cleaning. After being told by the dentist and staff I would get my cleaning. The girl came back and said, we have another appointment. They had three chairs. So I never got my teeth cleaned just tons of unnecessary photos. They wanted my teeth not cleaned to come back and bill more. Yes the kicker with my ppo in network insurance …. They said insurance would pay 33 I’d pay 158 I’d I came back and no cleaning included, just scaling and sealant.This was for something I wasn’t even being seen for so it was odd. And I don’t know what they are billing for the computer photos. I didn’t ask for or want them. This feels like a big SCAM. They want to try to scare you with up close computer zoomed in photos. Tell you all your fillings are coming out, your teeth are cracked, you will need a night guard. More cleaning… but wait they never cleaned anything. They did almost nothing. It would of been easier to just clean my teeth instead of scamming. They said well you have been to a dentist in five years. Because your teeth haven’t been cleaned you need all this work. Then you don’t even clean my teeth? Little did they know I had seen a dentist that did real X-rays a year ago. He did not find one cavity, cracked tooth or need for five teeth they said needing major work. It had not been five years since last cleaning. I have already contacted my insurance to file a compliant. Am getting my previous dentist X-rays done last year and am reporting. I’d love to see what they try with their X-rays. If they even try to bill for a cleaning which I was told would definitely be included three times during visit, I’ll for sure be able to have insurance report fraud. I Am seeing my old dentist next week for a second opinion. He will document my teeth not cleaned and know my teeth from my last visit. If you read the real reviews on here the one star ones they have had very similar experiences. Read all of them. The review from 5 years ago with the lengthy rant from the owner should let you know all you need to. Please go to a trusted dental provider with much more reviews. I am leaving this to warn others. If this had been a good dental provider that even tried to let me know what they were doing or billing for or even talk with me. I would think this was a bad day for them. But they knew I was not coming back and didn’t care or try to act like the did. My visit was too similar to two bad reviews on here. If you go here be aware on your first visit when the X-rays start and become excessive and they do not clean you teeth after one hour and 20 minutes of still trying to do computer photos. They do not do what was promised and will certainly try to get you in for a same visit that week then more visits to get billing you for things your insurance covers but say you owe then for things not covered. They didn’t want me to come back to finish the job of cleaning my teeth or do in my scheduled appointment. They want to lure in who they can trick into getting money off of.
