Electra Memorial Hospital

I was not under the impression that this was not an actual hospital. It was a walk-in clinic. My son Was stung in the hand six times and had a reaction go all the way up his elbows. Had been stung in both hands and even telling the receptionist what had happened to My Son and not being from here they still did not treat it as if it was a medical emergency. Regardless of it being a walk-in clinic, this should’ve been treated as a medical emergency. Also, the lady that is working the front desk needs to have better Manners. When we walked in and I told her we were out of state and she didn’t even look at his Insurance card it told me that I would have to pay out-of-pocket for this regardless, and I asked her if they could just bill it to me and she turned to me and said you don’t even have a little bit of money to pay for this visit and I told her no. Because we are at the end of vacation, I only have money to get back home. She looked at me as if she almost was about to deny My Son to be seen there. This was such a bad experience. also to add to this horrible experience, we waited 30 minutes for anything that happened in that lady was still looking over the paperwork I had filled out when I went up there to retrieve my ID. They were not trying to treat this as a medical emergency at all and at this point, thank goodness My Son was OK and that swelling and reaction that was all the way up to his elbows had subsided and come down a lot so we just left. This was truly so unprofessional and shame on these people this situation could’ve been a whole lot worse.

I was just treated here and can't say enough good about this hospital. I came in really sick and out of it and they provided amazing care. From the RNs to the Dr, this hospital really cares about their patients. Thank you Electra Memorial!

Dr at the ER was very rude and very judgmental. I think his name is Dr.speed . Acted like he didn’t want to be there or help with issue. Didn’t try to run any test to see if there was infection brushed it off like it was nothing. This makes the second time he brushed the issue off just bc he didn’t like how my bf looked. Unprofessional and no bed side manors at all. Do not recommend
