Customer experiences
Worst walmart I've ever been to. In the morning, NO self checkout registers are open so you need to stand in line forever just to cash out 1 item. They literally only have 2 cashier's working in the morning. They had halloween cookies on clearance for $2.49 and it was scanning incorrectly. I was told to WAIT while they cash out everyone else and someone will help me (but they don't know when) as per the Indian lady with glasses. I was also asked if I can go with them to show the price. I said no because last time I checked...I don't work there. If I did I'm sure I wouldn't make a customer wait 10+ mins for a price check. I'll be going to Argentia walmart from now on. The meat at this location looks nasty and yellow and it's always dirty. The workers are incompetent so just go elsewhere.
"PRICEs on the Walmart website don't always match the prices in stores". I was told by one of the staff. Is anyone else not baffled by this statement. READ FOR A MORE INFORMED DECISION ON PRICING. To explain, I needed to buy Phillips toothbrush heads. They tend to be really expensive so I looked around at pricing at multiple different stores ex Shoppers to see where its most cost effective. Walmart having the better price instead of $40 it showed $30, which is a significant price difference since its before tax aswell. I check on the Walmart website that the location near me has them available and shows as it is. I show up at the store and the price tag says $40, I ask one of the employees about the price difference and that is where the quoted sentence above was said. She continued to explain that to encourage people to buy online some products are cheaper. This is ludicrous, on what planet does that make sense. Prices on the website should match how much it is in store, is that not common sense. At the very least if there is a discounted price, for it to be mentioned on the price tag somewhere in store. So now I have to check every product to see if its more affordable online. Beyond upsetting, so at the very least if your getting something expensive worth a check online. There is no informing the customer, so I hope I helped someone today.
The cosmetic section in particular needs an overhaul with the assistance offered to customers. From the experience of last two to three years that I have been visiting ,the associates serving this segment have never failed to dissatisfy me ,be it with behaviour ,or knowledge to assist effectively. Requesting the management to take a look into it for the convenience of future shopping!
Unprofessional and disrespectful cashier Absolutely terrible service. I politely asked the cashier for a bag and she threw it down without a word. She then tossed my receipt like she couldn’t care less. After that she gave herself a 5 star rating on the checkout screen when she thought I wasn’t looking. Completely unprofessional and rude. I even took a picture of the receipt in case management wants proof. This is not how customers should be treated and Walmart needs to hold its staff accountable.
