If I could give zero stars, I would. Very dishonest experience with Richmond Irrigation. Had a contract with them. They came and blew out my irrigation system in November 2024. In January 2025, I noticed that the backflow valve was leaking. Called Richmond Irrigation to inform them and they sent a supervisor out to investigate. After looking at the backflow, the supervisor told me that since they blew out the system and that the backflow valve was damaged, they would replace it at no cost to me. Fast forward to March 2025, they came out to turn on the system but the tech decided not to do so when I informed him of the January incident. Received a phone call from the office stating that they sent my wife a bill for repair that we did not respond to back in January and that they would not repair the backflow until we paid for the estimate. Decided to cancel my contract with them on the spot at that point. Would NOT recommend this company at all.

From the initial phone call to Richmond Irrigation to the last check-up after installation, the responsiveness and thoroughness of the team was unmatched from all other companies I had worked with before. I was provided a real sketch of the design from the first onsite visit by David which was really nice to have in hand. No other service gave me that. Its good to see the idea and design when you are investing in a system like this. My yard was marked within that week, and work started the next. Other companies around me either didn't have the staff or time until Sept/Oct of this year (basically, 2-3 months out before work start). Sasha and his Team were incredible. These (3) men worked fast and with precision. They used a proper Ditch digger and put the lines almost 2 feet in the ground, so, when we aerate and re-seed, the lines are far below the ground, away from getting punctured. During installation, They noticed a very rusted and eroded water pipe going into my home and replaced it before starting their main-line water work to ensure everything was up to their standards. Huge bonus!! The water nozzles were all calibrated and adjusted after the water pipe was fixed. They intend to come back out after 2 weeks to ensure we are satisfied with the coverage, and will re-adjust and or replace nozzles with different ones to last fine-tune the yard after our initial experience post-installation. This was money well spent. Grass seed was laid down, all loose dirt re-packed and all trash was taken away. It was really nice to see the zones working (3) and learning the new App "Hydrawise" by Hunter Systems. The App is solid and doesn't crash. I didn't know a ton about Hunter systems but now that I have, and using this app, I am once again glad they spared no expense with the hardware, to also include, the rain-sensor that was installed on top of my home, out of visual sight. They also used proper mortar drilling bits and installed the unit on the side of my house in a discrete location. Just pro. Thanks RI for all the work!

Great service from the phone line to the techs that come out in person. Richmond Irrigation is a top notch company that I would highly recommend!
