We loved our stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Victoria. The beds were incredibly comfortable — I honestly slept better than at home. I especially want to highlight the kindness of the staff during check-out. A tall, well-groomed young man with long dark hair (appearing to be of Indian descent) was exceptionally helpful. Unfortunately, I didn’t get his name, but his service was outstanding — he helped us with our luggage and allowed us to store it for a few hours after check-out. Truly exceptional hospitality that made a great impression.

Our stay was lovely. We had a suite (room 1606) which offered great views off the balcony. Folks were lovely. Breakfast was decent. Valet staff were great too! Our room was cleaned daily. Very convenient location. Our son appreciated the cookie he received at check-in.

Stayed here for 4 days - staff was very pleasant, valet service was excellent, hotel is centrally located. Although there was lots of construction around the building, it did not interfere with our trip at all. My only complaint was the absolutely awful maid service. She seemed incapable of understanding what exactly dirty dishes were. Highlights include: leaving a full tray of dirty dinner dishes in the room TWICE that I had to request be removed. Randomly choosing to replace some of the clearly used glasses but leaving others. In desperation, on day 3, I stacked all the dirty dishes, used glasses, empty water bottles (for recycling) AND a used ice bucket in the middle of the cabinet - she simply placed the ice bucket back where it belonged without replacing the liner, and “saved” us a glass half filled with melted ice and soda by placing it neatly at the back of the cabinet, along with one of the empty bottles. It was incredibly bizarre. We ran out of toilet paper and had to call the front desk. She forgot her pile of cleaning rags on the bathroom floor and retrieved them an hour after we returned to the room. We made a game out of guessing what dirty items she would leave for us. So, should you stay here? If you don’t mind an untidy room, absolutely! But if you expect excellent maid service, pick another location.

3rd stay in 9 months. No towel rack in bathroom. Room was not the cleanest. King size mattress in suite was sacked out on one side. Could not get AC to properly cool room at night Couch and chair had seen better days.
