Owamni was an unforgettable dining experience, both my husband and I absolutely loved the food, and we left already talking about when we’d return. What sets Owamni apart is its powerful concept, highly recommend doing research before going. Every dish we tried was beautifully balanced, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. We especially appreciated the shareable style of the menu, which encourages trying a variety of dishes. Since it was just the two of us, we only managed to sample a few items and we were definitely left wishing we could have tried more! I'd recommend going with at least three people so you can try a wider selection. You're going to want to taste as much as possible. Highly, highly recommend.
The food was incredibly creative and absolutely delicious! The space is small and always in high demand, so reservations are a must. They don’t have many tables for large groups indoors, but the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Overall, it was a fantastic experience—I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Minnesota!
This is an elevated native American dining restaurant. The service and atmosphere were top-notch and really sets a nice ambience with the background music and decorations. I really appreciated the ambience. All the dishes were very well thought out and plated. While they were solid dishes, I do feel a few were lacking flavor. Overall, I would say the duck pupusa was my favorite plate and the mushroom chowder was the best thing I had. I ordered two different types of sauces on the side, which I highly recommend doing so that you can add them to your dishes. The brisket taco needed salt and was very bland in my opinion, but the chimichurri sauce really helped out with that I feel the side sauce should come as a standard additive and shouldn’t need to be ordered on the side. The bean dip and salmon was tasty, but I didn’t really understand the combination. The braised turkey was also good but nothing really wow about the dish other than that berry sauce that it came with for dessert I had the pecan which was good but once again, nothing for me to rave about.
