Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood

I am ONLY leaving a 1-star because of the attitudes of the medical staff and the overall LACK of bedside manner. I saw better bedside manner from technicians and orderlies and members from the labs than I did from nurses or doctors. I don't know if it's because they just don't care, or if its from the result of constant, unnecessary, corporate overreach. But the vibe needs to change! Patients come first, no matter the place, time, scenario, or situation..... the patient must ALWAYS come first. Please, I beg of you...... do better. Be better!

I visited the ER on December 13th with stomach pain and within and hour I was tested and diagnosed with diverticulitis and sepsis and admitted to the hospital. The ER doctors and nurses were exceptional and full of compassion all while keeping a smile and sense of humor throughout. I was moved to the 4th floor and spent 4 days there. The nurses and doctors were amazing people who cared about my wellbeing and for that I thank them very much. Shout out to Pam, Breanna and Kristie they were great and special shout out to the traveling nurses Sam and Cindy!!! Sam was a cool cat who helped me through a very tough day that ended well and Cindy had a bed side manner that was more than excellent not only did she help me on my discharge and navigating getting medications she was a great conversation and for that I thank her very greatly.🙂

Started off in the er and all the staff was so friendly and helpful. They ran all kinds of test and at 2:30am still had smiles on their faces. Went from er to 2nd floor and our nurses Haley and Christian were the best ever. Hayley went above and beyond to call me at my wife at home and keep her updated on times and procedures. Rachel on the 2nd floor v really took time with us and helped my wife find waiting room and took good care of both of us, not just the patient but both of us. I highly recommend Hendrick Medical center
