Holiday Inn Express & Suites Terre Haute by IHG

This hotel is a great place for families. Its staff is both friendly and helpful. Didn’t request room service but whenever I needed more amenities or a towel change they were there for us. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. The breakfast was always fully stocked even up until the time it closed. The front desk staff was couteous and helpful. We had emailed ahead of our stay requesting rooms close together and nest laundry room and they accommodated us with an email reply saying that it would be taken care of. It’s away from the main part of town but there are lots of places to eat within walking distance as well as a Walmart and grocery stores with 5 minute drive. If you are into gambling the casino is 5 min away. Would definitely recommend this place.

We went to stay for my daughter's College graduation. They had just had a flood and had these huge fans on every floor and they were REALLY loud. Could hear them in our room at night. The floorboards on all floors were pulled off and looked very trashy. One room had a hose going in sucking water out. The original room we had was much bigger, we could not stay in it because there was a strong odor of bleach and some kind of lemony smelling cleaner. The smell was so strong it made my eyes water. We had to change rooms to a much smaller room, didn't get any kind of comp for this inconvenience. Would of gone to a different hotel but three colleges were graduating and every hotel was booked. I will never stay in this hotel again! Right next door is a Hilton and that is where I will be staying from now on. While I was outside smoking once the housekeepers were out there smoking and talking about things that shouldn't be said in front of people staying in the hotel. The most polite and nicest employee I came across was the lady who did breakfast in the morning that had tattoos on her arm with the name Morrison. She needs and deserves a raise for being the most polite employee there. I do not recommend this hotel.

A beautiful hotel, nice rooms for a good price. I am a little upset. I called weeks in advance to book a specific room. That was next to a room my family member booked. When we got there, I was told they overbooked. We were given a smaller room 3 floors away from my family members. Also, once we got in the room, there was an old cigarette butt in the bed, trash in the bathroom, and urine around the bottom of the toilet. I spent most of the time in my relatives' room. I was only there overnight and made the best of it. Oh, I had also booked the best suit available to pamper myself. So I was super disappointed. I feel like the hotel itself is great. The breakfast was incredible. I will be back. Hopefully, this was a one-time thing.
