What has happened to this place? I made the mistake of going into the ER one night for severely swollen lower limbs. I had a hard time finding a chair that didn’t have bodily fluids on it. Even the floor was dirty. There was another patient’s urine specimen on the counter when I entered my room, no trash bag in their big flip bin, and trash all over the floor that was clearly nurse supplies (tape, swab wrappers, needle wrappers, a tourniquet, etc). A chest x-ray was ordered for me, and when the report came back, it said that I swallowed a foreign body. It was my necklace that they never asked me to take off. Despite my labs being slightly elevated, no further testing was performed by the ER and my condition was deemed a mystery. I followed up that week with my primary care physician who concluded that I had a kidney stone that was blocking my left ureter and causing the swelling in my lower legs because my body was working overtime. A simple Flomax prescription and the swelling was gone. As a fellow healthcare worker, I will make sure everyone knows not to go to Holy Cross Germantown. The treatment and conditions are disgraceful.

I was brought in by ambulance for pneumonia and breathing difficulties. The ER staff treated me very well and I was admitted to a private room. Very clean, cleaned every day while I was there. Food was good too. The staff was very nice and helpful. The virtual nurse was interesting, but helpful. I was there for four days. The only thing I wish could have been different was not being able to see my children because visitors under 18 aren’t allowed.

Been here since 11 this morning through the ER and recommended my mother stay overnight for observation. It’s now almost 6:00 and still waiting for a room. Three hours ago they said they were cleaning it. My mother hasn’t eaten since breakfast and we have asked for food for her -nothing.

I was seen in the emergency room at Holy Cross Hospital in Germantown on 06/19/2025. I was experiencing chest pain. I received excellent care from check in, triage and Dr. Joshua Heller and RN Roseanne Ward. Everyone was very kind, respectful and very thorough. Thankfully, I was back home within 2 hours. This is not my first experience with this facility. I have always been treated with great respect as have other members of my family who have been seen there. I am very grateful that they are so close to my home and would not have a problem recommending this facility to anyone. I would like to thank the staff for the great care I received.
