I recently delivered a beautiful baby girl. Dr. Mendoza was absolutely amazing. The team at the hospital took great care of baby and I. Donna in Labor and delivery treats everyone as if they were her family. She is so sweet, and really knows her stuff. The night nurse Jamie was awesome! He helped my partner learn how to care for baby while I was sleeping. He is encredibly thoughtful and caring. He made sure not only I was comfortable, but my partner was as well. I highly recommend their Labor and Delivery team.

I went in with low hopes because of reviews it was my first time going to this hospital, but once I got there everything went smoothly. Staff are very kind, understanding, and respectful. I was in the hospital for about 4 days and Nurse Amie and Stephanie were amazing and attentive. Very kind and understanding. Nurse Amie has been an angel sent from God. Couldn’t have gone through the hospital visit without them. The anesthesia team made sure I was ok and comforted me. Dr. Cha is also incredible made sure my situation was well taken care of. This hospital has amazing staff.

I had a wonderful experience at the MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center, Radiology department. From the first interaction at reception to the last imaging technician assigned to my care, I felt comfortable, cared for, and respected. In particular, Dr. Saxon, the radiologist, was reassuring, responsive, and checked in to ensure I was doing well during my procedure. It is a rare thing for a doctor to walk you through exactly what is going to happen and what is happening at each step. I found it extremely reassuring and calming. Highly recommend this place to women looking for any imaging that is needed.

I went to the ER October 21st and Physician Assistant Brandon Lien and Nurse Bianca Carrera are extremely incompetent. I not only had my medical needs neglected all around, but Nurse Bianca Carrera put a false claim down in my medical records that is so severe and serious to falsely and boldly state with no evidence, especially when I as the patient stated otherwise numerous times and my medical history has always stated otherwise. I advise everyone who goes to this ER to please triple check your discharge patient paperwork and your patient portal to make sure that you don't have false claims put down. This hospital put a very severe false claim on my record which impacted me as a patient. I had to have it redacted and it was falsely attached to all of my doctor visits, but I got it removed from each one as my patient history proved otherwise. I'm grateful for the awesome help of Patient Advocate Rights dep to have the discrepancy of Nurse Bianca Carrera removed. I wouldn't have discovered it as quickly as I did if it wasn't pointed out to me by an outpatient physician at a surgical center. My surgeon's office pointed out the discrepancy to me immediately, and if it weren't for that doctor, I wouldn't have known Nurse Bianca lied in my medical records! As patients, we should be able to trust medical staff will look after our health care and our medical records. We shouldn't have to worry that our health will be neglected and false claims will be put down in our records that now we have to advocate to have removed. The redaction was an easy case for me because my entire history proved otherwise, but with the medical team making errors in writing on my medical records, I can't trust this medical team with any aspect of my health. I went to Southern Maryland Hospital for a serious medical concern that was shrugged off and neglected by Brandon Lien (PA) when I had something legitimately wrong that I was scheduled to get an outpatient procedure for. Due to his negligence at this hospital, he not only neglected my health, he jeopardized my ability to have a successful procedure and it had to be rescheduled TWICE — because of them. To add to the matter, it's already bad enough, coupled now with how this experience was so awful to have my medical record stamped with a major false claim! Nurse Bianca Carrera is responsible and wrote false claims in my medical notes, and Brandon Lien Physician's Assistant put lies and exaggerated notes in my medical records from that ER visit. Due to the reckless nature of their error and negligence of my healthcare, I have filed a grievance for both parties responsible for this medical discrepancy placed in my chart, which are Brandon Lien (Physician's Assistant) and Nurse Bianca Carrera. I personally wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone I know for their health needs. My concerns were brushed off and Brandon Lien and Nurse Bianca Carrera are atrocious. Bianca messed up my medical record which I'm now filing two formal complaints regarding. Physician's Assistant, Brandon Lien, didn't listen, ignored and neglected my concerns and said one thing directly to me as a patient and documented something entirely false and different in my medical records. Absolutely despicable PA, Brandon Lien! A very toxic medical assistant and both Brandon and Nurse Bianca Carrera are incompetent at their jobs. Brandon Lien was exhausting to work with, and I had to repeat myself multiple times to get him to listen. He kept over talking me and had a terrible attitude — he was too busy socializing unprofessionally with Nurse Bianca Carrera in the hallway instead of tending to the care of patients. The negligence from this medical staff and hospital has caused me to have to reschedule an important critical outpatient procedure twice now. They did not take my care seriously as a patient! Really awful! Nurse Bianca Carrera should be ashamed of herself and should have NEVER put false claims in my patient medical records especially this severe, nor should Brandon Lien have ever neglected my health!
